Over the past month, our community has participated in both NDA-bound testing and also the public open Beta for Throne & Liberty. During the open Beta, our guild filled up in less than 12 hours. We ended up opening a second and third guild to support the crowd flocking to our community. We even managed to capture land during the beta.
At this point, we are seeing early indicators that what we're looking at could in fact be our next chapter. While the guilds are limited to 50 people initially and grow by a slot with every level we would need 4 Gaiscioch clans to support 200 on day 1. These clans can be tied together through an alliance and by using the same icon for all of them we can make it seem like one massive guild.
Communication will be heavily reliant on Discord and we may want to use that as our base of communication rather than in-game as there is no alliance chat. It does pose several challenges but I think by grouping players with others who play like they do we can create a lively 4 clan community that constantly brings in new faces and has a presence with both end-game raiding and also on the PvP. All the while encouraging those who like a slower pace to cruise along at their own pace. Here’s our base plan.
-
Gaiscioch: we will initially place 30 members into this community off the ground and get new members flowing in. As it nears 50, our Gaiscioch Ogma team will break off and form up the Story and Exploration clan.
-
Gaiscioch Ogma: This will be for players who enjoy exploring at a slower pace. Who enjoy seeing every corner of the game and explore all it has to offer. As Gaiscioch fills up registered members will move over to Ogma.
-
Gaiscioch Lugh: The PvP Flagship of Gaiscioch. Players interested in taking part in PvP activities should join this room of our house. All perks and buffs will be PvP-focused.
-
Gaiscioch Danu: The endgame PvE-focused room of our house is for those who like to be the first to achieve things. This will be where those who like to sprint should land. The goal will be to get endgame PvE activities on the calendar ASAP and start teaching other members how to compete as they learn at their own pace.
All 4 Guilds will use the same emblem and be friendly to one another. In addition, all Gaiscioch can attend any event regardless of the guild so long as they meet the requirements. While the system isn't ideal we can make it work. It's just a smaller scale of what we had to do in ESO and GW2 at launch. As the dust settles we will likely consolidate but at launch, we want to try to house as many as we can.
Join the community on September 17th as we launch into what looks to be Chapter 9 of the Gaiscioch Community. We ask that everyone please head over to https://gsch.info/tlsignup and add your name to the list for the room you'd like to join on day 1. We're currently doing a headcount and layout out plans as I won't be at launch day at this one. I'll be away traveling across Europe.
