The frost of winter sets upon the fields on Hibernia. Living out the real-life tale of the 300 Spartans, Hibernia now finds itself with a Relentless enemy pouring onto our shores and slamming against our walls. Our brave warriors have stood proud and continue to hold the line as endless foes slam upon our gates.
With hindsight being 20/20, I can clearly see the mistakes I made last season. Welcoming Relentless into our alliance was quite possibly the worst misstep I have ever taken in Conqueror's Blade. I saw it when they drove a wedge between us and iKingdom and tried to force our alliance down a road we didn't feel comfortable going down.
We now face their angst as I removed them from the alliance after our friends iKingdom departed so we could refocus in hopes of forging a new path using what we learned. Relentless didn't see it that way. They now have a vendetta against us and have gone out of their way to follow us around the map to try to get us to quit. In addition, they have now begun calling on friends to attack us as well as they were unable to unseat us from our fortifications on their own.
Each time they assault we become calmer and more in control of the fights. We see their strategies and have been countering them flawlessly. We learn from each fight and adapt and the more times they hit us the stronger we will become. Falter not as we are proving that our way is an effective way and that we don't have to make enemies of the whole world to succeed.
We've survived much worse and we will stand strong against their forces. New game mechanics have come into play to help us along the way. We may not have a lot of land this season but the land we do have will be solidified in the blood of those who slam upon our gates. It's going to be a violent season. Hold the line and ride this out as long as we can. There will be no shortage of fights. In phase 5 help will arrive. But until then we're on our own. Stand strong Hibernia!
