Gaiscioch Community News February, 2025
- Did you miss the 2024 Gaiscioch Community Conference? Here's the rundown!
We have quite a lot of exciting things to look forward to in 2025. A new Guild Wars 2 expansion, 3 new seasons of Conqueror's Blade, a new seasonal system in Elder Scrolls Online, and then a whole slew of new games on the horizon set to entertain. Join us as we explore the past, present and future of the Gaiscioch Community.
- Making use of Discord Events
Over the past month, I've begun tossing up some of our major Gaiscioch Events in various games. From guild missions to weekly server wars I have place key events on the Discord Calendar for people to sign up for to receive notifications for. You can find them in the events area of our Discord. These events typically will be events the entire community can and would want to attend if they are available.
- Time for a Return of Reckoning. Gaiscioch Returns to Warhammer Online
As the cold drives us inside for the winter, several people have expressed interest in giving Return of Reckoning another go. We have since relaunched in RoR as Gaiscioch na Rall. We have a weekly RvR romp planned for Sundays at 11AM PT / 2PM ET. Be sure to join us in the Red Room in Discord if you'd like to join us and head over to the adventure page to show your support.
- Join Gaiscioch in Colorado on Feb 22nd
Jairone is organizing the first-ever Colorado meetup on February 22nd (pending weather) for food and a chance to meet fellow Gaiscioch! Anyone in the area is welcome, whether because you are living here or traveling through! Bring along family, enjoy pizza, and get into a group photo if we want.
- WvW Moves Back to Friday Pre-Reset
We experimented with a Thursday run for the past few months and I have found that we're just not able to have the same amount of attendees on Thursday as we are on Fridays. As such I'm moving our WvW event back to Fridays so most of you can attend. This is a low-stress WvW event aimed at helping people get their legendary armor, warclaws, and achievements. All levels are welcome!
- A Harsh Winter in Conqueror's Blade Brings Strength and Glory
The frost of winter sets upon the fields on Hibernia. Living out the real-life tale of the 300 Spartans, Hibernia now finds itself with a Relentless enemy pouring onto our shores and slamming against our walls. Our brave warriors have stood proud and continue to hold the line as endless foes slam upon our gates.
- Looking for 3 for Orc Flinging Fun on Thursdays
With the launch of Orcs Must Die Deathtrap I am looking to launch a fun and friendly Livestream of Orc-slinging goodness every Thursday at 4PM PT / 7PM PT. I'm looking for 3 companions to join me. You will need to have a copy of the game as it is a buy-to-play. I'm hoping we can share a few laughs and have some wacky memorable fun while we entertain the masses. I plan to run this for February and depending on how it goes we can assess it for the March lineup.
- Delta Force Coop PvE on Monday Nights
For those of you who have been joining us for Delta Force on Monday Nights, we have been having quite a blast. The new Serpentine Raid is quite a PvE experience and if you haven't tried it yet you really should. You lose nothing by playing it. This month we will see the launch of the Black Hawk Down mode of the game which is a 4 player story based campaign. We will be exploring this as two to three groups. Be sure to join us on Mondays at 4PM PT / 7PM ET if you'd like to join.
- The Quinfall Launches into Early Access
The wait is over for this ambitious indie MMORPG and so far things are looking decent. While it's certainly not the quality you'd expect from a AAA studio it does offer a pretty solid base to grow from and an absolutely massive world to explore.
- Throne & Liberty: Wilds of Talandre Expansion Arrives March 6
There's a lot happening in Throne & Liberty over the next couple of months. Things might be able to recover from the slump it hit in the past month. As players slammed into the endgame and experienced very little to do once they arrived there many departed for other interesting titles. For those of us that stayed we found ourselves in a holding pattern for the arrival of something new. Well, coming in March there's a full-sized expansion absolutely free. - Didn't go far in Timberline today.
Gma's hands are not up to a whole day so we just did a little in Timberline Falls:
Started at Iron Veil waypoint. Gma decided to save the tunnels for when everyone is here. We did not do that heart.
Went south on the northwestern perimeter
