Addons

What addons is recommended for ESO?  I have seen some that look interesting but not sure which ones are worth it.

I tried out the Tamriel Foundry Tactical Combat addon this last weekend and really enjoyed it.  It gives you a little bit more of a mmo interface if that is something you may be more comfortable with.

My personal impression:  It let me see my health, magicka, stamina numbers together like I'm used to in MMO's, it let me see the same information for my target plus what class they were if a player or what kind of mob.  It also shows what buffs/debuffs you have on yourself and those of your target as well.  It also has floating text for how much damage you are doing and taking, and how much xp you get per kill, etc. It also indicates if a target is at "low health", which can be helpful for those with skills that do extra damage when a target gets to "low health" so they know when to use it and perhaps not necessarily waste it.

we should probably get a stick for all useful addons.  I normally do not condone addons, however, after this weekend and getting to group up a little, I feel like I am missing some stuff that I wish I had that more traditional MMOs have.   So in that case, I see a difference between Addons that are beneficial and are not actual cheats.  Stuff like that tactical addon seems like it enhances play by giving you back features you have grown accustomed to that enhance game play but not necessarily detract from your player skills or add to them.   Cause I miss having a constant health/mana bar, seeing the numbers of those bars, and seeing the health bars of my teammates when I heal.  Also seeing some of the enemies information like possible class would definitely give you a better idea of what would be priority targets since it is so hard to tell.

I wish I could also get defensive information that is also lacking on the Character screen cause frankly, be told your armor is overcharged is nice, but it just lets you know you hit soft cap, but doesn't show you actual numbers to mitigation so you can tell if adding more armor is giving you how much mitigation %, so you can safely judge if you want to stack more to push it a little higher, or trade it out for another statistic or passive boost.  Same for spell resistance too, cause sure, I got a number, but I don't have a clue what kind of % of incoming spell dmg I am resisting.

FTC Combat Log if you want an actual combat log you can look back at.

Multiple Quest Tracker is nice if you want to... umm, track multiple quests...

Wykkyd's Framework is a dependency for all his other mods and includes a bar you can enable that shows your current xp, gold, bagspace, the IRL time, etc.

Wykkyd's Outfitter allows you to save gear and action bar sets so you can easily swap between healing, dps, solo or pvp setups.

Wykkyd's War Tools show you the status of all keeps and resources without having to bring up the map all the time.  It also shows their actual status (unlike the map which sometimes doesnt update the colour of the icons and requires you to mouseover them to make sure).  It also lets you broadcast your target into groupchat with a click.

Wykkyd's Group Tools lets you auto-invite anyone who says a certain phrase, you can pick the phrase and what channels it checks for them.

some great suggestions but keep in mind that there may be some features that an addon provides that the stock game will already include just not in the beta, im going to wait to see what the live launch looks like and decide from there which addons to choose
