Rift Remains Open to Members, But No Longer Recruiting
Over the last month, the last of our event leaders said goodbye and with this, we are placing RIFT in the Historical Chapter category allowing existing members and new members to our community to enjoy it as they see fit, however we are placing Rift on Maintenance mode and will no longer be actively using the looking for guild tool to bring new people into the community. Rift Prime drove a hot knife through our already spread thin community and we simply don't have the population to sustain a healthy event calendar. Our leaders have tried to host events with shrinking turnouts. In the end, low population has driven them to find more active shores.

Gaiscioch Is Not Supporting RIFT Prime
In an effort to avoid splitting our remaining few people on two sides of a wall, Gaiscioch will not be officially joining the RIFT Prime server. We want to continue to be accessible to all and don't want to put a pay wall between us and our audience. We will not be supporting RIFT Prime via our website and anything that is done there will be unofficial and off the books.

Foghladha's Rift Adventures moves to Saturday
Foghladha's Rift Adventures moves to Saturday In an effort to try to boost participation we have moved Foghladha's Rift Adventures to Saturday Mornings at 11AM PT. Over the course of the past few months Foghladha has managed to acquire a series of zone invasion lures that have valuable rewards and achievements tied to them. I plan to make this event rotate between low level crusades against invasions to high level hunts in the Celestial Lands. Please feel free to share your ideas on content you'd like to see and if we can swing it we'll be happy to add it to the list.

Rift 4.3: Crucia’s Claw Released This month RIFT launched their first Tier 2 Raid for Prophecy of Ankhet expansion in the for of an upgraded Bastion of Steel. In addition they released the mystic archer soul to mages that allows them to use a powerful bow that grows in strength with them.

Rift Community Update
Over the past few months you might have noticed a slight downward slide in active players. This was expected post-launch of the 4.0 expansion, as with any game expansion. We are starting to settle into our long-term size and it appears the incoming requests to join are beginning to thin out. At this point, I believe the game is going to need to take some positive action to start driving new players to enter the game. The past few patches haven't helped the population and many have been upset by them.

RIFT 4.2 – Celestial Storm
This past month we saw the release of RIFT 4.2 which brought a new overland zone, Vostigar Peaks which is actually quite beautiful and diverse. It also brings the Normal Mode of Tartanic Depths 10-Man Raid. There are over 80 new quests, raid rifts, a new instant adventure, four primalist souls, achievements, creatures, loot, a dimension, over 20 artifact sets, updated supply crate rewards and ui, and a lot more. Telara Saga Wrapup
With a loud bang, Telara Saga exited stage left wrapping up their 2017 edition of the Telara Saga. We managed to hit our goals and even gave away a prize worth nearly $12,000 to one lucky Gaiscioch member. While this season was quite the challenge with the shortcoming of large scale content with the expansion, we managed to pull it off in a way that over 200 people would come to enjoy. We thank everyone who came out to show their support and look forward to planning the 2018 edition this fall.

Raiding in Rift in 4.1
Hail and Well met Gaiscioch Raiders. It's time for us to begin our assault on Tantric Depths. We will be running Tantric Depths every Monday night playing our hand at the raiding scene. We will also likely run some Queen's Foci events when it's available. We will be working towards forging a raiding team that can clear the modern raids with style.

We plan to launch the Telara Saga 3 on Feb 2nd 2017 bringing an all new story to Telara that takes place 4 years after the Guardians and Defiants united to send the Dragon Cults into submission. Now a new threat approaches in the form of Ankhet and the Telarians will be called on once again to prepare to assault the comet hurling at their homelands.
