Now a lot of you have left New World for one of many reasons. With the March update releasing on March 29th following up February's massive bug fix and useability update, you might find a lot of the hardships have been nullified. Take a look at some of these recent changes that might make the game more enjoyable to play.
- Weapon Swap Fixed - weapon swap is now much smoother than it was and a lot more reliable too.
- Travel Cost Reduction - it now costs about 1/10 the cost to travel as it did at launch.
- Housing Taxes - are now capped at 1% and most houses can be renewed at less than 500g. Some as low as 50.
- Logging Speed Improvement - the rate at which you gain logging experience is greatly improved making it easier to get to higher tiers.
- Storage Expansion - in the March update they connected all storage across all towns all the time so you can select any town and manage the storage remotely without traveling around. Doubled the storage bonus for all tiers of Storage Chests. Chests that used to provide 200 weight of bonus storage now provide 400 weight, etc.
- Unequipped Item Repair - when you died before the march update you had to repair all the items in your inventory including the ones you were not using. This has been removed so it only damages equipped items.
- New Weapon the Blunderbuss - focused on AOE damage this strength-focused weapon is a great companion to melee-wielding players.
- New Expedition: The Tempest’s Heart - An endgame expedition for 5 players. Recommended for 60+ players with Gearscores between 550 and 570.
- New Random Encounters - a handful of new open-world events have been introduced to reward players for exploring. These can be found in all regions and each has a specific loot table for those brave adventures that witness them.
- Inventory while moving - you can now view your inventory while auto running.
- Ammunition Changes - ammo no longer weighs anything, T1 ammo is now unlimited and doesn't require crafted ammo. Crafted ammo now increases damages and now stacks up to 1000 from 500.
- War & Invasion Sign up - You can now sign up for wars and invasions from anywhere on the map.
- Collision - Player to Player collision removed from Open World, Expeditions, and Invasion.
