With the departure of many of the large formidable opponents to the eastern server, Cloudwing Valley is witnessing a gold rush to fill the shoes of the big dogs. We're seeing new alliances and houses rising up to fill the holes they left.
One crucial piece that has gone missing since the eastern houses pretty much took their ball with them, is a place for our community to communicate and talk to one another without being criticized for staying West.
I have decided to step up and fill the void and bring a fun and friendly way to stoke our rivalries and bring a more enjoyable style of play to our server. Now, this is a multi-stage plan that is going to take some time but ultimately should be rewarding.
If all goes well I can bring some of that friendly competition to Conqueror's Blade we shared back in Warhammer Online with the Battle for Badlands. Where people fight one another but share some laughs and good jobs afterward.
Step 1: Created a New Discord (completed)
Learning and improving on what we did with our Badlands server, Faeblight in RIFT and Sanctum of Rall in Guild Wars 2, we are opening a Cloudwing Valley Discord server to the public on Feb. 1st.
Server Goals:
- Work as a LFG tool for grouping up for various activities.
- Act as a place where you can ask questions and find answers.
- Provide links to Guides and Resources to help the new player journey.
- Contains a directory of every participating house grouped by alliance and allows their house leader to keep their channel updated with their latest information.
- Will be the place to find our new war report for Cloudwing Valley
- Brings Seasonal Challenges to the server in the form of leaderboards and a new trophy system for fighting over designated fiefs each week.
- Special contests with prizes
Additionally, for us, it will add exposure to our streams and guides to help us grow our reach even further.

Step 2: Weekly War Report Livestream (Feb 2021)
I am planning to cover the week's developments every Saturday at 9PM PT. This will cover a weekly wrap-up of the events that took place during the week. I doubt initially it will be anywhere near as fancy as Cobras stream but it will at least give us a starting point we can build from. I plan to highlight:
- Movers & Shakers (biggest ups and downs)
- Regional map changes
- Highlight the top Fief builders
Eventually, I'd like to get a few house leaders on as special guests. But that's a long term goal.
Step 3: New Site Dedicated to Conqueror's Blade (Mid Feb 2021)
Over the past month, I have been working on a new site for Conqueror's Blade. It will be housing all of the data I have gathered and serve as a Cloudwing Valley (initially before launching wide) community hub. I'm building it with the potential to include all servers in their area and use the tools that I've built for the Gaiscioch site to help enable people to track growth and log information.
Features:
- Server Leaderboards
- House Recruitment Hub - House Leaders can list their house and maintain their page for house Recruitment.
- Integration into Cloudwing Valley discord
- All of my Guides will be available here as well as on the Gaiscioch Magazine site.
- Unit Data and the ability to compare units
- Be a launching pad for other tools I have planned including a build planner similar to meta battle.
- Help drive viewership to our channel and other CB streamers (we select) when we're streaming Conqueror's Blade.
Now, this site is going to feature ads and offer some premium services like house boosting as I will need to offset the costs somehow. There will also be a link to help support the community.
