It's been nearly a month since New World launched, and the population hasn't slowed down one bit. We currently manage 2 full companies to the best of our abilities cycling out the players that have been away longer than 7 days. Every single day there are more members joining. The social systems in New World makes keeping everyone together difficult yet we are finding ways around it as we always do.
How to join the community
Right now we have 2 Marauder Companies on the Falias server. We are actively rotating people at a 7-day afk window. Every time there is an opening in either Gaiscioch company we send invites out to everyone on the Pending Invite list on https://gsch.info/nwsignup. I will be working on a new way here in the future but for now, this is the best we have.
Unfortunately, we are limited to 2 companies as each company requires a separate New World account which requires a separate Steam account. It also involves about an hour's worth of work per company to manually log, import, sync, and promote. So far we have been able to accommodate everyone by cycling out the players who have been away for more than a week to bring in new invites. This is the same process we use in every game we play.
If you are ever cycled out simply add your name back to the pending invite sheet and we will get an invite out to you.
Our progress so far
It only took a couple of days for us to purchase the settlement of First Light. It was later taken from us by the Syndicate in an unfortunate turn of events and we continue to work our way back towards land ownership.
Understanding the War Climate
I understand many of you may be new to the Gaiscioch and might be wondering why Harbingers of Light and Pookha are leading all the wars for us. Pookha and I have been good friends for more than a decade. We ran PvP events side by side in Guild Wars 2, Archeage, Conqueror's Blade, Elder Scrolls Online, Black Desert, and now New World.
I excel at leading massive PUG armies (Open World PvP) while Pookha excels at building Composition groups and small-scale PvP. Together we work as a team. I progress the field and act as a distraction banging on my pots and pans with a massive army. Pookha and HoL hit the flanks decimating their ranks where it hurts most. We have used this synergy to our advantage for more than 10 years.
Most of Harbingers of Light was or is Gaiscioch and both of our communities work as a giant family. All of their members are welcome among us anytime as are our members among them. They are a PvP focused extension of our community. If anyone prefers a composite group-style PvP system I highly recommend reaching out to Pookha about joining Harbingers of Light. Gaiscioch is more of a Casual Friendly approach to PvP and thus we typically run PUG armies.
Now as for the Marauder faction arrangements, Each of the companies on our server has made the provinces that they wish to acquire known and has agreed to allow each of our major companies to declare on specific territories. For our declarations, we are limited to First Light and Cutlass Keys unless asked to declare on another by its designated company. We are working together with the other companies to have an organized approach towards conquering the world. This is why we only declare on the two southern settlements.
Helping the Community
The biggest need we have right now is gold.
You can press G, click on Treasury and donate gold to the company.
This gold is used for declaring war (15,000 Gold per War) and eventually upgrading settlements. I will be rotating the declares each week so one-week Gaiscioch declares, the next Gaiscioch de Danaan declares. We will need 15,000 gold to be able to declare each week. As long as we have the finances we will continue to keep the pressure on.
Keeping Your Character Updated
For New World, I made claiming your characters very easy. You simply need to add them to the New World Signup Sheet and update their ranks as you progress in the game. I run syncs every weekend to get the updates in the system for you. You don't need to manually add your character to the site, you simply need to make sure your handle field matches your Gaiscioch.com handle. The system will add the character to the matching handles character list automatically.
Be sure to head to https://gsch.info/nwsignup to update your character's progress with weapon skills and trade skills. This sheet is imported into our website every week on Friday night to automatically update your characters.
Note: Gaiscioch.com Handle This is the name that appears in the green bar on your mini-profile on the homepage. Be sure it matches exactly to sync your character to your account. If your handle doesn't match what is on the site it will not link to your account.
