So last month I outlined a few games that were coming this year. But then Summer Games Fest and E3 happened. We've seen a whole new onslaught of games announced for this fall adding to our two chapter expansions, new Conqueror's Blade Season, New World, Elyon, Swords of Legend Online, and Bless Unleashed. As if that didn't already make our end-of-year packed we also get to look forward to Crowfall, Lost Ark, Tribes of Midgard, and Dark Alliance.
Here are some of the exciting things we have to look forward to over the next couple of months.
Dark Alliance

This Cooperative Action RPG is definitely one to check out if you have a few friends you like to dungeon brawl with. This is a reimagining of the original 2001 Dark Alliance released for Playstation 2 and XBOX. It features a wealth of D&D Character Development and dungeons to explore. Quite possibly one of the coolest ARPGs to release this year.
Crowfall

Crowfall initially generated quite a bit of interest in the community back in 2015. We're watching closely to see if there is still an active desire to play this one together. If there is still interest we will look into setting up a discord channel and get someone to open us a community there. Unfortunately, my account is still in limbo so I'm not sure if I will have access come launch but I'm sure their CS team will get me sorted. That said it is a forced PVP game so I suspect long-term participation will be lower than needed to keep an active community of Gaiscioch members going. This may be one you should think about exploring. Time will tell.
Conqueror's Blade Season 8: Dynasty

The next season of Conqueror's Blade is shaping up to be a big one with a new region, a new weapon class, 4 new units to unlock and a Tang Dynasty-themed campaign. Conqueror's Blade continues to be our most active adventure with more than 80 active weekly players. This is a truly unique MMORPG that holds a bigger membership than when we first started 2 years ago.
Swords of Legends Online

In what quickly became a sleeper hit among the community, Swords of Legends Online is set to release on July 9th. Looking back we did not even know this game existed 5 months ago and since then have been rather impressed by the initial beta and the following beta before launch. This is shaping up to be a small tight-knit adventure for those of you who enjoy Chinese folklore and action-oriented combat. It is quite a beautiful game.
Tribes of Midgard

This little co-op indie gem has mostly slid under most people's radars. It's being released for PC, PS4 and PS5 and features a cross between Diablo and Don't Starve style gameplay. It can be played with up to 10 players or solo. A small group of us are going to take it for a spin on PlayStation and see what it's all about.
Bless Unleashed

We don't have very big expectations for this one. The original flopped hard, the console versions are holding well enough but I'm not sure it has what it takes to succeed with our community. There are quite a few really neat features but the looming forced PvP in the later game will soon put a damper on the excitement if the post-level 15 grind doesn't get to you. Regardless we will be opening a Gaiscioch in Bless Unleashed in hopes that it can succeed where the console versions have struggled.
New World
August 31st, 2021 | Join the Adventure
This is the main event of the summer. Since its first Alpha we have been watching this closely. With the new direction of no forced PvP, new PvE content, and an expanded guild system including 100 players instead of 50, things are really looking up. We will be creating a few Gaiscioch Companies to start on the Marauders faction to kick things off.
At this point, we are expecting between 100-125 current members to join us from the community and likely find another 50-100 on the inside. We have plans in place in the event we need a third company. This will be our largest adventure launch to date and has the making to become our first expedition (100-200 Registered Active Players) with a slim possibility of even becoming an official chapter (200+ Registered Active Players) if it succeeds.
Lost Ark

New World isn't the only trick in Amazon's bag this year. Later this year we will see the launch of the critically acclaimed action MMORPG Lost Ark arrive on western shores.
