Good bye to our good friend and cohort in game, "Storm" as we called him. He has been missed the last few weeks in ESO and will be sorely missed in days to come. May God bless and keep him in his love. Carande
We received word on August 21st, 2021 that Mike "Stormkaster" Pender has joined the ascended. This message came in earlier in the day and has since been updated with the news of his passing.
We have literally been on moment to moment for the last 48 hours. He is a tough old bird is all I can say, especially since he was only given a couple of days at the beginning of all of this at the first of the month. Though he is ready for the fight to be over. Has not been able to talk to Max or I for about a week, either asleep or just to weak. Max and I are keeping in close touch with his son David, trying to keep he and his brothers up because, ya know, this is just hard. So if you are a praying person, send up some. Both for the boys to keep going, and for Storm to go ahead. He is ready.
Mike's son wrote us:
Hi guys, my name is Dave, I am Storm aka Mike's son. I built his computer and introduced him to ESO. I had no idea it would have such an impact and that he would make so many wonderful friends. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. It helps my heart so much to know how much he was loved. He was a shy quiet person irl but he really blossomed online due to ESO. He passed last night in my home with his family around him. He wasn't in any pain, and I made sure he knew how loved he was.
Stormkaster was a very influential part of our Elder Scrolls Online family (@Stormcaster52) and enjoyed spending time hunting dungeon bosses, doing trails, and dungeons with others. Stormkaster joined the family on January 17th, 2019, and earned 30,995 fellowship points for participating in family-hosted activities. Their devotion and accomplishments have made them a Knight's Apprentice within the family.
