Community Outlook 2023

It's been a crazy year both in-game and out. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to share it with all of you. This next year is shaping up to be a great one. If you missed the Gaiscioch Community Conference be sure to check it out!

We have quite the game lineup for 2023 many of which are small cooperative-style games while we do have one big one arriving next year that could become a full chapter if the community embraces it. Let's take a quick look at what's coming down the road.

Available Now:

Frozen Flame

A challenging exploration and survival adventure, set in the dying world of Dragons. Only those who harness the power of Frozen Flame have the means to survive the harsh conditions of the realm and able to muster the strength to cleanse it for good.

Warhammer 40k: Darktide

From Fatshark, the makers of Warhammer Vermintide, comes a new brutal first-person co-op shooter set in the dark universe of Warhammer 40K.

Coming in 2023:

Throne and Liberty

Throne & Liberty is an action/adventure MMORPG game from NCsoft  that has been in development for more than 10 years. It is the first new MMORPG that has a focus on returning "Massive" to the scene with World Bosses, Castle Sieges, and Hundreds of players working together towards goals.

Nightingale

Nightingale is a first-person, PVE, open-world survival crafting game played solo or cooperatively with friends. Build, craft, fight and explore as you venture through mystical portals into a variety of amazing and fantastical realms.

ARC Raiders

Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria

The First Descendant 

The First Descendant is a third-person cooperative action RPG shooter in which you can play as Descendants who inherited the unknown powers and make them stronger to fight against the invaders and protect humans.

The Forecast:

Overall the community is shaping up to have a strong year in 2023. We will likely have another year of content releases from Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online to keep the community busy there while New World continues its course corrective course that with a little luck could save it as ESO and FFXIV did before it. Conqueror's Blade will continue being a strong expedition bringing in a constant wave of new faces to the community.

While most of the upcoming games are smaller games they will serve their purpose of keeping our community playing together as we wait for the next big title to draw everyone back. Whether that is Throne and Liberty remains to be seen but it certainly has all the major touch points of what makes a great chapter. We just need to see how they execute. Regardless even if it totally flops we can expect to see some new faces joining us for it.
