Craythur Posted a Blog: Twitter
Oh I haven't forgotten this blog is here. I've been meaning to post despite the fact that I've given up on Warhammer for the moment. I could post about Our Lord of the Rings Online antics I suppose. Maybe next time. I've recently overcome the last vestiges of good judgment left in my muddled brain and decided to goof around with a Twitter Account. I'm slow to jump into any sort of social networking. I end up feeling obligated to post regularly. How hard can it be to come up with one liners every couple of days? If you are into that sort of thing, you can find me @kraythur...

Jonzac Posted a Blog: Back in the Saddle
It certainly has been awhile since my last post, but frankly a nice vacation in Cancun, Mexico far outweighs anything WAR has to offer. Sun, margaritas, old ruins, margaritas, family, margaritas, swimming, margaritas...you get the picture. Played a little bit now that 1.4 is out and I'm not sure I like it at the T2 and T3 stages. I do like the new bracket levels for T2 and T3. I just could never strike a good balance between leveling my actual level to gain new abilities and leveling my renown and Warcamp influence...

Evamaria Posted a Blog: T2 Make everything blue!
Took a few hours but we turned T2 completely blue. The lovely tactics and strategic moves to bluff and out smart destruction worked as they often do. Can be rather frustrating for our Order leaders when the Order guys don't follow the orders (aka hiding in the cave as they should). Was exciting laying in wait ready to pounce on an unguarded keep whilst Destruction were scrambling trying to figure out where to go. Highlight though is having a warband of destruction running away from a small group of Order...

Evamaria Posted a Blog: T1 Seige night
Absolutely loved getting back to basics. Was great watching Destruction get outsmarted and outgunned by Order. Several Order were commenting how nice it was to win against Order. We got a few zone flips and had a few players level beyond Tier 1. For me the personal highlights were jumping off the boat at Nordland to flank the incoming Destruction force, hiding in the tavern at Festernplatz and just slaughtering Destruction who kept trying to come in and get us. Heaps of great fun, I might have to reroll a toon for when we do it again!

Oooghaa Posted a Blog: Have been taking a break
I haven't been on for over 2 weeks as I had a trip to Seattle since our return I have been enjoying my time with my family more than anything and have been way more focused on that part of my life. Soon I will start popping back in for event nights. Just dropping a line so people know at some point my son and I will be seen in game.

Jonzac Posted a Battle Recap: A long and difficult fight
Wonderful night in T2 on Badlands! Signed in with my lvl 19 Witch Hunter, Martain, and attempted to get from Ellyrion to Cascades of Thunder (or CoT). Took a long time to find a way over the mountains and, of course, as soon as I reached the summit the warband had taken the castle and then died to the estimated 100+ Destruction horde that had arrived. We then moved to Stonetroll, had the door down but was prevented from capturing the keep by the same large Destro horde. Our leader, who's name I forgot and can't spell, then split up the three warbands that were participating send each of us to different zones...

Jonzac Posted a Battle Recap: Early Success
The night started quickly with the call from our leader to form up in Thunder Mountain. Although I was very inexperienced compared to the many warrior who volunteered, I was honored to be placed in the warband of our leader, Foghladha. I caught the warband as it had completely destroyed the inner door at Bloodfist Rock. Where the evergrowning forces of Order quickly attacked and reclaimed the keep from the forces of Chaos. More and more heroes joined our fight and Karak Karag was also taken with minimial resistance from the Greenskins or their allies...

Oooghaa Posted a Blog: Also...
I am really proud of my father in law, son, and our family friend that plays on occasion. We have been able to do fairly well over the past few days running pug pq groups and pug warbands. It gives me a little faith that I still have a decent want or will play and put so much time in. Now if i could only get my wife to play. She is getting there tho.

Oooghaa Posted a Blog: The Unscheduled t1 Event tonight!
It started off with Eldhir, Tilthen, Hotpants, and I (Ceibhfhionn) attempting to do a hard pq in Mt Bloodhorn, I just don't think we had enough tanks and dps to pull it off in the alotted time. We were abundant on healers tho. A healer, archmage, and a warrior priest. Our only tank a swordmaster, was doing the best he could. After the initial failure of trying to be the timeclock I decided we should move to a little RvR. We started off by taking the objectives in Ekrund followed by Mount Bloodhorn...

Oooghaa Posted a Battle Recap: A Rough Start...but a Beautiful Ending!
The Warbands formed in Troll Country. The Warband I was in was ordered to Shadowlands. We all met up at the Shadowlands warcamp and proceeded to Spites. That is when it became apparant that elements of our warband had stayed in Troll Country. It took a bit longer to take Spites than i am sure we thought it would. Destruction rolled in behind us and made our first attempt a less than memorable battle, or moreso, one we wouldn't want to. But persistance paid off and those who stayed in Troll Country were able to secure it from destruction...

Craythur Posted a Blog: Ready for something new.
I can no longer fool myself. I am dissatisfied with Mythic/Ea/Bioware (or whatever they are branding themselves as this quarter) and the state of Warhammer Online. I've been teetering on the edge of frustration for a couple of weeks now. I've reached the tipping point I'm sad to say. I've just unsubscribed from Warhammer online. I hope that this action will serve a positive end. Somehow. Perhaps if enough people unsub EA will have to put some real money and effort into the game to bring us back...

Oooghaa Posted a Blog: People leaving Warhammer
So again the Badlands server is down for whatever reason. So I started looking over the Bioware forum and the umpteen threads about "I am quitting" or my favorite the "Organized Unsub". I have been a gamer since 1999 in that time I have played every somewhat decent MMO out there. All of them had problems at some point or another. Granted I have only been on Badlands for a short time and this could have been going on weeks if not months longer than I have been here. I just don't think it really makes sense to run from game to game avoiding server issues or gameplay issues...

Oooghaa Posted a Battle Recap: When Destruction doesnt learn the first 2 times.
As we had just taken Spites we kept doing a loop around to catch them between the Destruction warcamp and the thin tunnel to Spites. Not once, Not Twice, but Three times we were able to ambush them from behind by going out the postern of Spites and running the same loop. With great leadership of all the warbands Destruction stood little chance.

Oooghaa Posted a Blog: Switched my main.
So I have switched over from Rants as my main to Oooghaa, I have always been partial to healers anyways. Spent most of the day yesterday just leveling him up with my r/l son Benedic. Farmed some rats, did some RvR, all to push his leveling to get him to 12for the t2 event today. Really looking forward to that. Also was promoted to an officer of sots in Excessum.

Rants Posted a Blog: My move to Badlands...
So after playing Destruction on Iron rock for almost 6 months, before that I believe we were on Gorfang. My son and I decided to play Order. I did a few guild searches and finally stumbled upon Excessus. So I joined and a few hours later my son joined. The one thing I notice outside of this awesome alliance is that my guild is pretty tight with one another. The GM talks to everyone and congratulates them on everything. Most of the guilds I have been a part of in the past have not been active at all...

Craythur Posted a Blog: 50 things that would make Warhammer even more fun!
50 things that I think would make Warhammer online even more enjoyable. 1) Give us the option to toggle the flight animation to "off" so we can go straight to the zoning screen. 2) Let us enter the Hunters Vale instance at any level. It can remain a T1 instance if there are concerns about farming it for higher level gear/PQ drops. But let us 40's zone in and solo the lord for a cloak if we want to. 3) Remove the lock out timers for all city dungeons. Having more Sentinel gear and greater wards is not game breaking...

Craythur Posted a Blog: Zomg Hunter's Vale!
Zomg Huntersvale! Craythur was just a wee little Runepriest for the original Huntersvale Live Event. I have fuzzy recollections of taking part in a PQ in the RVR lake and hunting down all those tracks. That's about it. I was far too small and unconfident to be healing the Huntersvale instance at the time. So I didn't get the stag cloak. I came to regret that. Being able to shapeshift instantly and run to safety would have been handy on numerous occasions. Being able to run through the lower tier rvr lakes while not looking like a *ahem* "stout" free kill in a bath robe might have saved me from a couple of WE gankings...
