Spartan should be pleased with this.
It wasn't OP - it was QP ("the top 50 QP ladder") - which I think means Qualified Player. I'm still not sure what Qualified references, but then again I don't pay attention to the Leader Boards.

I'm not sure anyone in guild is committed enough to spvp to make this matter. Seems there are a lot of people who talk about spvp not to many people that commit the time playing it.
It will only matter to those that do Spvp ... but it just might get a few more involved since they can go observe and learn which will make them feel more comfortable about doing it. I know if I can "be taught" how to this I just might try it - I don't want to go charging into Spvp - "knowledge is power".
"When the beta period is finished and we release custom arenas, all players will be able to purchase custom arena kits from the gem store" Hmmm maybe time to start buying gems? Looks like once this is off of beta and released fully might be a run on the gem store.
i am hopefull to see them makeing content beter, i am definatly looking forward to what this brings to gw2 .
I actually think it´s gonna be great even for wvw people, like myself. A custom arena is a great place to learn how to deal with some classes dueling with your friends. :)
While it does have a lot of different rules from wvw/pve, you can practice against builds,do some preliminary tests yourself before comminting to aquire specific gear and learn to read your opponents tells.
I really miss a dueling option in gw2. This could help with that.(Costume brawl does not count =P)

I think finally having a spectator view might actually make sPvP something worth watching. They just couldn't justify the goal of becoming an eSport without it.
I have my reservations about this entire system they propose, but I'll wait to pass judgement until I've experienced it personally. I picture it being pretty useful for Guild Tournaments and similar events, but we'll see.
