They are getting rid of paid pvp tournaments and if you have tickets you can exchange them for silver/gold.

I think this is good - sad thing my son paid for some just yesterday.
I might actually start trying out PVP knowing I don't have to pay for the tournaments. And that the matching system will try not to place inexperienced players with Pros players.
I believe I read you can turn in tickets you hold to a npc for rewards.
yeah they will have a new vendor that gives it out.
I wonder if the "valuable in-game prize" will be usable outside of the Heart. I'm imagining it won't, because of how they have separated the Heart from the rest of the game. That's my biggest turn-off to the Heart, is that nothing you do there affects your character in the "real game".
only usable in the heart sek.....it it boxes of gear/weps. The gold boxes give you more than the silver and the silver more than the copper chests. I was under the mistaken impression that it would be gold in the gold chest and silver in the silver, etc. i was wrong...lol. should have figured. I did however get some nice pvp skins....:)
heh yea, I knew it wouldn't be game money. They very much separate sPVP from the real game. They're doing it a lot like GW1, where you can get an instant max level, but can't use it for anything other than PVP.
Its sort of like, for example, if Mythic made their Wrath of Heroes MOBA accessible from within the Warhammer Online client, rather than being its own standalone game client, like it is now. Same thing, sPVP is the Guild Wars 2 MOBA, just that you access it from your normal game client.
