Materials Guide / Suggestions

I have looked all over for any suggestions on how to obtain Vision Crystals and Dragonite Ore. I think I have followed any of the directions that are provided, but as yet, I can not seem to find a source for these items. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am stuck in the same place with anything I want to craft. I think that there is a lesser vision crystal also. It's getting crazy for me LOL, I haven't played the game at all lately. I just run around looking for materials. And now I am not paying attention and running out of gold. I was so low, I had to sell items from my bank to use a waypoint!! That is bad. Is anyone else finding that it is a long hard road to make any real profit crafting and selling drops? I have never done dailies, I wasn't sure how all that worked, and with the short amount of time, I usually have; they look like they would take up all of my two or three hour evenings and I still may not finish. I need to ask for some help with those.

I typed in GW2 Vision Crystal in Google and first choice is https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vision_Crystal and it tells where it comes from and give the recipe and who makes it. The wiki is pretty good and I haven't found an obvious mistake in it yet while trying to do all sorts of crazy stuff like legendary crafting now.

I'm surprised you don't have dragonite ore since it is part of the loot you can get all over the world in a variety of ways, just like the bloodstone and empyreal stuff I get tons of. It was introduced when they added ascended crafting. The introduction of various ascended items started in 2012 with rings and accessories through fractals only and then throughout 2013 they added the weapons, armor, etc. If you are doing a deposit of your crafting components without really looking at it, you might be missing that you did get some of these. If you haven't yet, it has to be something with your account, like maybe no 80's and even free to play without expansions can make and acquire some of the ascended and even legendary stuff per what I just dug through.

To check if you have any, look in the crafting material bank in the ascended crafting section. If you still can't find it, we may have to talk in voice to see what is going on.

Completing the dailies rewards you with 2 gold each day.    Easy dailies are Mystic Forge, doing a Vista, gathering (for example, Ascalon miner or Silverwastes forager) and WvW - Big Spender.  For Big Spender, I go to the GSCH Guild Hall, teleport to the War Room, speak wih Davis and buy one badge of tribute which completes that daily.
