I mentioned it in an earlier post.  Here is the full list of changed mentioned by Paul Sage in the beta forums post.  I would be interested in what you people think of the changes.

Well the 4 little changes they even mention all seem fine and dandy but im not really sold on the  " we changed these things because of user feedback " thing.  Most of all these are just things  they have had on the plate and plans for along time.

1; death recount to see last 5 or so steps how you died. ok cool why not ( even tho all the crap/cheat addons will be giving  all these details too )

2; FOV slider to help performance ( mostly for pvp I would say) Is needed that's for sure. Med and lower power computers will need this badly.

3;Turning OFF the pvp bolster to play at  ones normal level in pvp......  I do not really  know what to say to this feature...... Why?  why would anyone do this. once your gear/level is higher then the bolster you use the highest buffing.. why would anyone at ( example ;; A 20th level player turns off their bolster which puts them at equal to like a 45th person, To fight in pvp  at 20th.. ) Id sure like more detail on this.

4; putting more items in game to pick up.. this is old news been in plans for along time.

post says a lot more on list and details soon. okies...

The bolster is mainly about VR+ players getting nerfed down to 50.  So if you're a VR player in PvP you won't get downgraded.

Some players that were between 40-50 and some players in the VR levels were actually nerfed by the bolstering because they were in superior gear and had better personalised attribute distribution.  For example; A 20th level player keeps his bolster on because he needs it to compete, but a 45th player turns his off because he has gone out of his way to get good gear and has a build that requires heavy investment into Magicka.  If the 45th were bolstered his stats would be baseline level 50 with even spread attributes, and would be worse off, so he turns it off to be more competitive.

That's how I understand it anyway.  We had similar issues in GW2.

I think the death recount could be useful for those new to MMOs.   At the very least, it would tell you the obvious, and give you a chuckle.

While it is great to see ESO responding to player input during the testing phase, we still have not seen meaningful changes that could improve gameplay.  The quickslot function is useless in AvA during an actual fight. Additional hotkeys would be much more effective and efficient for the majority of players.  The fact that hotkeys 6-0 are not being used tells me that the developers just do not want to make the change.  ESO developers are clinging to a single player model rather than active real world situations of WvW.  Falling back on the excuse that there will be mod's available to customize the game leave me flat.  I have paid a premium price for a game and will be paying premium prices to continue to play the game on a monthly basis.  I should not have to wait for a third party to develop content that should have been there in the first place.

IMHO

Yes I also found the quickslot process awkward to use.  I would much prefer to have potions, etc tied to a keypress rather than the radial system.

I believe the 'lack' of key-binds is less to do with hold over single player design and more to do with future HID design, keyboard and mouse are NOT the only controllers out there). If ESO is released for the consoles then the restricted key-binds is to give other controllers a competitive chance.

If you are designing a game for PC and Mac use then there should be the additional key binds.  I am sorry if this is not available for "console" users.  I don't feel that pc users should be hampered just because the developer wants to have a console version available.  Make the game for the platform! Certainly there are functions available to console users that are not available for pc users, otherwise crossplatform play would be possible.
