Awesome article this one. Finally beginning to form a picture of what Large Scale PvP will be like in this game. Only really big question I have left is "How many Keeps are there in Cyrodiil?" We know there are 6 surrounding the Imperial City that must be captured to crown an Emperor, but are they the only ones?
15 minutes for 15 players to take down a door = lots of time to respond to an attack. If the entire breadth of Cyrodiil can be walked in 20-30 minutes, then with the added speed of a Horse, most attacks should theoretically be able to be responded to in reasonable time to mount a defence (even if the attackers are smart enough to take out the teleport option.
That's also a good reason not to just follow the zerg. Intercepting and interfering with reinforcements is also a valuable tactic in helping out a siege.
My understanding of Cyrodiil is that it is much like GW2 in structure, but on a much larger scale, and with a lot more depth. Taking keeps would have a very similar feel, but there would be a lot more room for tactics, and smaller groups outside of the zerg, would play a much more vital role. The grand scale of the entire kingdom would be something to behold, for sure.
Unfortunately anyone who has had the experience would be under the NDA and wouldn't be able to talk much about it or at the very least speak in generalities. I can't wait for more official info to be released.
