I plan to go to bed really early saturday night and wake up bright and early for launch day with my gf, Scarydoo. Anyone else plan on creating your character bright and early Ill be running around with her helping her play and trying to convince her not to be too shy to login to raidcall. This is basically the first video game shes ever played except a few minor exceptions like age of empires ii
Well, I'll be around and willing to give her a friendly welcome. I'm planning my Sunday to maximize ESO time since I have to work Mon-Fri.
fortunately we both work at a data entry company contracted by the state and the state gets lots of holidays, monday happens to be cesar chavez day so we will be utilizing that time to elder scrolls it up :D
Ha you're funny. While you guys play i'll be sleeping. We wont be forming up the guild until sometime around Noon PDT. So have fun in the morning and expect an invite by the following day. Looking like close to 1000 people so far.
What date is early access starting again? I got caught up with Battlefield 4 Naval Strike and Diablo 3: RoS I forgot all about ESO.
Saturday night I'll be up very late with a dedicated group of Halflings who have been adventuring together for some time now throughout the land of Telon in the world of Vanguard Saga of Heroes. I am Bandobra Bullroguarde, Halfling Disciple and member of the Halfling Explorer Group!
But I will still be on ESO Sunday morning, just not right at the opening bell.
opening time is 4am pst elth :) and I think i am gonna tough it for a couple hours at least and then maybe nap for a couple etc. but i will be on rc for opening morning :)
7 am - Bright and early! Gonna be a pain trying to sleep Saturday night. Kind of like Christmas as a kid. Heh.

Fog Might I ask what is the exact plan for guildmates when the guild hits 500 limit? I mean if we have 900+ coming on.. whats the plan there?
I'll be logging in once it opens as well. I'm so excited. I've been next to useless at work these last few days looking at character builds and stuff... lol.
For anyone that hasn't been part of the opening of a MMO before just be aware that they are often fairly rocky at first. Login servers go haywire, inventory systems lag out, etc. I've been in every major Western MMO on opening day (including any early access ones like now) and I don't recall even one of them not having one or two annoyances. And most of them have had very huge annoyances the first few days.
Now the most recent MMO releases seem to be getting better and better, so hopefully ESO will do fine. :) Just don't feel too bummed out, or get all "I paid money for THIS crappy service??" if the launch isn't smooth as silk.
Hope for the best, expect the worst. ;)
I will be on 7am EDT ready to roll! Going to crank out all of my characters right away so I can make sure to get my ideal name choices :-D
Yep I will be there waiting to login at 6am CST. Can't wait to start exploring!
I'll be logging in the second its open, then spending 1-2 hours trying to decide what class/race combo to play first :P
I'll probably log on to make characters and reserve names. Then back to sleep. =)
I get up at 6am est anyway , so I will be up an hour early and waiting
My weekly D&D game is Saturday night. Due to scheduling issues, we haven't been able to play in two weeks. So, our DM has a lot of ground he wants to cover. I don't see myself being up at 6 AM CST, when I most likely won't get to sleep till around 2:00 or 3:00ish. I'll probably roll out of bed at 9:00. Walk the dogs, make breakfast, have a shower and login around 10:00.
@Robinhood: That's why we have 5 guilds. The loadbalancer will spread our membership out between the 4 core rooms. Gaiscioch the main room will be on a 7 Day AFK policy at first until things stabilize or we get a chat channel. Right now we have 900+ people (Past 45 days) but only 430 that have logged in the past 7 days. This rotation worked really well in Guild Wars 2 once people understood it.
It's a revolving door. One gets removed, One gets added. The to be removed list is compiled of people who have not logged in and have not shown activity within the game. To get reinvited you just need to login and verify your still playing.
im EDT time and well 7:00 isn't really early since I have kids :) so i'll be on for sure to help out anyone that need its, probably gonna try and for up groups for those of us that want to push our first toon to AvA, so maximise quest hitting early dungeons and killing off the skulls for extra exp..
not sure if i'll be in RC but I'm always easy to reach in guild chat...

Hi I'm completely new to Gaiscioch (MMO's etc) and also will be on early in the morning.
I did play in the beta.
Is there a preferred alliance for this group? Still trying to figure out how to get started in GSCH
GSCH will focus on Ebonheart pact .... there is nothing stoping you from playing other alliance, but tall the main activities of the guild will be held there
My 9 year old says she is getting up at 3:30 AM this is going to be funny :)
I dont see anywhere on the account page to set up the subscription. Where do you do that at?
i dont believe you can set up a subscription until the game goes live, the first 30 days starting from the official launch date of 4/4/2014 are free for all, whether you preordered or not, whether you have imperial or standard edition. lemme know if i missed something on this

Hah, so opening time for me is 10pm on Sunday night. I might hold off till the morning.

I plan on being up at 0400 for early access, though I am expecting to have to wait until at least 0600 to actually get on. Such is the launch day ritual :)
Launch days like this are like Black Friday for us geeks, but with less of a chance of getting trampled or shanked.
Ive got the jolly jumper all set up in the computer room. Going to have the items to make a bottle and diaper changing all ready to go . Coffee maker preset to turn on at 6:50am. I am ready !
