Tide's Turning the Tide AvA

Greetings all!

I've been in the family for about 1 year now and was on hiatus from GW2, am very glad to be back rolling with the family in ESO. Living in Singapore (GMT +8), it has always been a challenge for me to roll with the family during weekdays, therefore I'm starting up a weekly AvA event for people playing around the same time as myself. I'm totally new to leading, even felt weird talking on RC sometimes, but I feel a need to rise up to the challenge especially for folks active around my timezone. So here I am, scheduling an event on the calendar for 5AM Tuesday PST, and excitingly looking forward to the first skirmish.

I'm still learning, having played ESO only since launch and not beta, do feel free to drop me any tips, tricks and strategy for leading in Cyrodiil. And I hope I will be able to live up to the name of Gaiscioch.  

Description:

With Aldmeri Dominion and Daggerfall Covenant controlling a big portion of Cyrodiil, Hopesfire seems ripe for the taking. Join me on Tuesday early morning (evening for some of us in SE-Asia & Oceanic region) in the conquest to turn the tide in our favor. Activities will be dependent on the turn-out. Gathering location: South Morrowind Gate. We will be using GSCH Raidcall: 1101 for this event. All levels are welcome as long as your character can enter Cyrodiil (level 10).

Maintenance is going on right now (Monday, 8AM EST) - I'll join you tomorrow same time.

My husband works on Tuesdays so I'm free in the mornings.  Just to get to know more of you people on the other side of the earth, if things work out okay for time, I'll be there.  I'm usually done with the morning ritual with pets by 7:30ish my time, no later than 8 (that is currently GMT -4 since I'm EDT).  Basically it looks like Singapore and the East Coast are exactly 12 hours opposite each other so your 8pm would be my 8am.  =)

And like Skutrug, that is usually a maintenance day, but right now they are not entirely on schedule as they keep working out the kinks.  After all we are only 3 weeks in and having even more people than they ever could in a beta, it's helping them refine the kinks even more.  Have to say I'm rather impressed considering the wonkiness that is going on.  Way better than some of the tests!  So I know they are improving even sometimes fixing causes a break elsewhere.

Maybe this maintenance will get my instanced dungeon bug to go away.  Seems I don't get the quest, don't complete the dungeon, do not get my skill point for first time in anything I've done this weekend.  Have a ticket open on that, but instanced dungeons are only a small piece of the pie!

Count me in mate, i have been looking forward to it!

I usually work Tuesday nights but I'm off in the morning. So, just put the event up on the site and I'll be there when I can.

Sadly, there's maintenance Tuesday to deploy a hotfix – 8am EDT, 10pm AEST. The server is supposed to be down for about two hours.

ESO MAINTENANCE EU & NA MEGASERVER - 4/22/14

I was really looking forward to this event! :(

Shame that this have to happen... Was hoping that the maintenance won't happen since they did it on Monday. I'll postpone the event by one hour to 6AM PST (9PM GMT+8), if the server isn't up by then I'll cancel the run. Well even if this first run didnt happen today, I'm still appreciative of the positive response by everyone here. Cheers. 

I'll have to re-think on when will be the best day for the weekly run. Seems like I'm left with the Weds and Thurs option now. 

might get lucky. looks like the EU maint only took an hour.  if im awake when the time comes i'll try to join! :)

I hope it takes less than one hour! I can't wait to get some AvA action :3

Also I'm crossing my fingers and ask for the power company not to nuke the lights again :p

Thanks for all the interests in this everyone (honestly very glad). Unfortunately the maintenance turns out to be a caveat today. Apologies if I have accidentally perked you guys and gals up. :(

I might still coordinate a unscheduled pickup AvA event if we have the numbers when the server comes up (provided it is still within their estimated 2hr time-frame and there is no log-in issues)

Moving forward, I'll most probably be scheduling this event on Wednesdays instead, same timing - will put it up on the calender once I've decided. 

Just a heads up mate.  Maintenance occurs at this time every week on Tuesday, right in the middle of Oceanic prime and again on Friday NA time/Saturday Morning Oceanic.

Thank you all who has turned up for the follow-up unscheduled event, I've already placed the event up for you all to claim the participation. Appreciate the attendance and help, and apologies for having to leave suddenly due to family issue.
