  I've seen a boatload of (thankfully nonguild) mages put out ridiculously poor numbers for heals, for single target dps, or for AoE dps. I've been doing good damage, good heals, and good support for quite a while, occasionally "out dpsing" higher geared mages with similar builds, because I know my rotations & research my specs...
