The Quest for the ever bigger better bestest gear

I find the need for new and better gear to be both intriguing and discouraging at the same time. Some of the content one must run through calls for a great deal of tactics and sometimes many tries to figure it out.

The discouraging part comes with the need to group or not bother. I'm not one for lame excuses given five minutes before departure for a dungeon. It's worse if I actually got on at a time I did not plan on just to be sure I did not mess up a group and then someone drops out with no real good reason. Worse, it's a lie. Now if there is RL behind it, great! I rather see people more concerned about reality than this game. However, don't lie to me and then be in the game doing something else. My attitude and patience can't handle it. I'll be honest. =)

So after that negative blather I would like to say that when I do get groups with the Tuatha family, it is always enjoyable. I really don't care how far we get as long as everyone learns something and enjoys themselves...

    The Infamous Steve!
So we killed him FIVE times. He did do one wipe on us because of showing up, we start fighting him and then someone opened the door with the big old daddy candy corn. If it hadn't been for that happening we not have had a full wipe with Steve involved...

    Golden Times and Wit
We had a great time being an all ladies crew teaching Gill fractals, getting legendary thingies collected, and just lots of good chatter. We definitely laughed and well being a golden girls group there were bio breaks too!

Thanks to everyone that made the RIBA and META happen TWICE!
All I can say is Silverwastes is a crazy place to lead and I understand the RIBA just find, but the META at the end boss and the paths still foils me on what to do at each. I had a great crew that knew what to do and helped those who did not just find a place to keep beating on things so we could keep all four forts going (where most of all the claimed items came from)...

Great Times and I FOUND My Coffee
I've run with El quite a bit in Rift last winter and he is doing well even on his second event in GW2. He did a great job leading us around the map, doing events, finding our shinies and our coffee, and all the red had to be made dead. Mango enjoys this game much more than Rift with all the effects and stuff in battles, so we made sure she enjoyed it, too.

I tend to come and go from the game, but this is one event I love doing if I am free at the time.

    Not Fractured in Fractals
I haven't tried fractals since I came back and I know I never got far in the first place, but Namrie does a great job explaining them and making sure people get achieves where possible.

    Intrepid Fun
Since the usual event in this timeslot would not be held, MtDewd stepped up and several of us had fun leveling some toons in the intrepid adventures.

    Fun Times!
JQ was not wanting to give up much, but we kept running around on our home taking things and fighting them. Finally a two pronged attack occurred on Bay and we were able to take it as a grand finale to the event. Thanks for the fun Findan! I would give you a token if I wasn't an elder and it let me...

First Time My Network Really Let Me Play Hard
So I still don't have fiber in the house, but the fiber to the box down the road allowed me to go in only with minor lag jitters in the bigger fights. First I was a bit lost and had to retreat to be able to find a transit to get to the right place...

    Great Event
Despite the issues we had in Stonefalls and Deshaan Jairone handled them well. Birdee stepped up to run a second group so we were two smaller groups to keep us from having as much of an issue plaguing larger groups though we could have filled one full raid...

Jet takes on the last main boss solo
Well, we lived for part of this but Jet wound up the only one standing. He did one of the most amazing kiting with a bow on the guy and almost had him until he managed to run by his healing bots. He actually kited for several minutes. This was on our first time in because well Jet never managed to loot the deed the first time...

    Well Done
Very well organized and good explanations to help those not as familiar with WvW and small group tactics. Would give you a token, but being an elder I can only give them to Fog. LOL! So will give you some cheering here. =)

    A Thorn in JQ's Side
As always we were a small group at this time of day going out to annoy JQ and we succeeded quite well. Sometimes as one larger group or into two groups so we could distract them as we took two supply camps at the same time or simply made them spend time killing one group to keep them off the other...

    Good Times!
Had fun messing with our enemies in a hunt and run method though we did get zerged a few times. Our small group did not die easily and worked very well together. Thanks, Thoi!
