Sigmar Crypts Walkthrough (Draft)

By: Bulzeye

Sigmar Crypts Dungeon (LV40) Walkthrough

Recommendations – Tanks – MT(Main Tank) 5/5 Lesser Wards
Off-Tank 4/5 Lesser Wards
DPS – 4/5 Lesser Wards
Healers – 3/5 Lesser Wards

Party Make-up – 2 Tanks, 2 Healers, 2 DPS

Tactics – The off tank is the puller, the reason is so that the off tank can have initial agro on the first mob to be tanked and the MT should challenge the rest. The off tank then pulls a single mob from the MT until there are no mobs left. All of the pulls in this dungeon are very similar in this respect.

Walkthrough –
Right Gate

As you enter the zone there will be two gates one on your left and one on the right. The one on the right is the only gate accessible for right now.

The first two pulls can be made from the starting room. For the next 2 pulls it will consist of 4 Undead Novitiates. These must be tanked facing away from the group because they do cleave.

After these undead are dealt with, there will be an open room filled with spiders. There are 2 groups in this room, they will pull in groups of 3. After the second group dies a mini boss will spawn named Cryptweb Queen. She will immediately engage your group. She should be tanked facing away from the group. Occasionally she will do an AOE (Area of effect) root. After she dies the next pulls can be done from the mini boss room.

The next 4 pulls consist of the 1 Screamer and 2 Spirits. The screamers should be dealt with first. Pull the first two pulls into the Mini boss room using LOS (line of site). After the 2 groups are done, head to the end of the hallway and fight the next 2 groups. The next room you come to will contain another Boss name The Reaper. The Reaper will spawn purple puddles on the ground and should be moved out of. A fully warded individual will take about 400+ damage a second. When the boss is about 20% he will spawn a few Banshees. They are to be ignored and just burn the boss down.

Once you finish with The Reaper you should tank the next 2 groups in the boss room. The next groups consist of 2 Undead Warriors and 1 Undead Priest. There are 8 groups total. The Priests are to be killed first. There will 8 groups of these. As you kill the first two groups move into the hallway. Then pull the next two groups into that hallway. You should be in a room now with pillars on each side and a boss at the end of the hall called Necromancer Malcidious. Pull the Next 4 groups and set up at the bass of the steps that go down, you should be in between the 2 sets of stairs by about 20 seconds into the fight. The way this fight can be done is the MT goes and grabs the boss, and tanks it while walking backwards to the position in between the stairs. During the fight, Malcidious will spawn ghosts of random players. Use AOE attacks on the boss to bring down the ghosts at the same time. When Malcidious is at about 20% he will summon 2 wraiths that move very slowly towards the group. If the wraiths touch you, you will instantly die. In most cases Malcidious dies before the wraiths get to the group but if you are unfortunate the wraiths can be kited because they move at a very slow speed. Once Malcidious is down head back to the start and the left gate should now be accessible.

Left Gate

As you go through the left gate there will be a few groups composed of Leathwrought Crypt Keepers. These are caster types which can be LOS(line of sight) pulled. When you first come through the gate it will be ‘L’ shaped and the end of that hall you can only go left, as the gate on the right will be locked. Pull the first 4 groups of Keepers down the hall. After those pulls there will be a bat that patrols. This bat needs to be tanked facing away from the group because it does a silence. There will be 1 more group of Keepers. Ahead of you should be three rooms. North, West and South. We will start with the North side. This side is composed of Undead Templars. There are 3 groups total. In the back room is the Boss Tobias the Fallen. He does an AOE knock back so he is to be tanked in that small room with backs against the wall. If he bugs into the wall just step back and he will come out and continue the fight. He is very a straightforward fight and will go down with ease. The West room is the easiest room. The boss inside the room can be pulled all alone. She will occasionally spawn bats but they can be AOE’d. Tank her on the steps just outside of that room. The South room is filled with Tomb Robbers. One mob on either side of the steps. I usually go down the right side of steps. There will be the boss in the middle with her 2 adds, a group on the right as you come into the room and two groups on the left. Pull each of those three groups. After each of those groups is finished. Go into the back room and fight the two mobs in there. Approach the room by ‘hugging’ the wall on the right. After they are done, the boss fight can begin. Have the MT tank the boss and the OT on the adds. DPS the adds first. Seraphine will give up the fight at about 10% of her life. After she is down she will head to the previous door that is locked, pick the lock and spawn a chest.

Middle Gate

The mobs in here are composed of Devotee and Fanatics. All in groups of 4 or 3. There will be 8 groups total. The bosses will be orange but at the end of the last pull they will be able to be engaged. These bosses have 2 phases, a ranged phase and a melee phase. They will switch between the two phases. In the ranged phase the Lector will do an AOE silence, so the tank that is on him needs to be using his taunt and use their throwing weapons. In melee the boss is just a tank and spank. These two bosses need to be kept within 10% of each other’s health or they will heal a little bit. When they both get below 10% you can kill one of them. After one goes down the other will bug out and kill one to two people. Get up the dead and loot the bodies and you are done with Sigmar Crypts. Congratulations!
