Elder Scrolls Online :: World Skill - Legerdemain Starter Guide

This guide will cover just the basics of Legerdemain Skill line which is for Fencing items that you have stolen.
I am fairly new to the game so aware I am using my own knowledge on this.
Legerdemain Passive Abilities
Improved Hiding
Rank I Reduces the Stamina cost of Sneaking by 10%.
Legerdemain Rank 1
Rank II Reduces the Stamina cost of Sneaking by 20%.
Legerdemain Rank 6
Rank III Reduces the Stamina cost of Sneaking by 30%.
Legerdemain Rank 11
Rank IV Reduces the Stamina cost of Sneaking by 40%.
Legerdemain Rank 16
Light Fingers
Passive Rank I Increases the chance of successfully Pickpocketing by 10%.
Legerdemain Rank 2
Rank II Increases the chance of successfully Pickpocketing by 20%.
Legerdemain Rank 7
Rank III Increases the chance of successfully Pickpocketing by 35%.
Legerdemain Rank 12
Rank IV Increases the chance of successfully Pickpocketing by 50%.

Trafficker
Passive Rank I Increases the number of fence interactions you can have each day by 120% (110 items)

Rank II Increases the number of fence interactions you can have each day by 140% (120 items)
Legerdemain Rank 8
Rank III Increases the number of fence interactions you can have each day by 160% (130 items)
Legerdemain Rank 13
Rank IV Increases the number of fence interactions you can have each day by 180% (140 items)
Legerdemain Rank 18
Locksmith
Passive Rank I Improves your chances of forcing locks by 10%.
Legerdemain Rank 5
Rank II Improves your chances of forcing locks by 25%.
Legerdemain Rank 9
Rank III Improves your chances of forcing locks by 45%.
Legerdemain Rank 14
Rank IV Improves your chances of forcing locks by 70%. Legerdemain Rank 19
Kickback
Passive Rank I Reduces bounties you willingly pay to guards and Fences by 10%.
Legerdemain Rank 6
Rank II Reduces bounties you willingly pay to guards and Fences by 20%.
Legerdemain Rank 10
Rank III Reduces bounties you willingly pay to guards and Fences by 30%.
Legerdemain Rank 15
Rank IV Reduces bounties you willingly pay to guards and Fences by 40%.

Levels of Sneak
-Hidden closed eye or partly open - Can steal with no issues of gaining notices by guards
-Detect open eye. - Will start a wanted circle bar on bottom right of screen with a bounty you must pay or hide til reduces over time.
So if you have a full Red that means guards will be on look out for you. White bars only will have guards speak to you to pay the fine.
But note if pay the fine and any stolen goods will be lost.
So beyond knowing that info above we will start with any class can do this at least for steal items from containers or lock chests not pick pocketing.
Note make sure have reasonable amount of lockpicks on you if not inn keeper sells at 9 gold each.
So as a Ebonheart Pact member you will need to travel to Daggerfall for the zone I will be covering this topic on.
Davon's Watch Town you will see in the Northeast of the town map a Anchor Label as Summerwind boat, this will bring you to Daggerfall. If you haven't went to the store there is a single free house quest you can grab from the crown store. If you already have used this quest for another home you just need 3,000 gold in the long run for the house in Daggerfall, "The Rosy Lion" good place to escape to when needing to fence items for fast travel.
Once own this house and such make great home base for stealing and trespassing.
Since most of the houses once outside the inn if in sneak mode can lockpick doors which gives Experience for Character Leveling and Ledgerdemain. Fighters Guild has items can steal and deconstruct for materials as well or crafting materials for making food.
Note if you are caught by a guard and pay the fine everything you just were stealing is lost so test by stealing items and not pick-pocketing since most of the people in the town of Daggerfall are around 30-50% chance of pick-pocketing when first starting with no passives earned yet.
If need more items say for crafting food down where the harbor upon the ships have tons of barrels and crates to loot from. At times can earn recipes as well.
Beyond such this will earn you some levels in character leveling (small amounts and ledgerdemain.)
Ledgerdemain Experience
Lockpicking doors and chests gives a small amount.
Fencing gives a reasonable amount base on the pieces selling.
Anything beyond common white items will level you faster and give more experience.
On top of such visit the Stablemaster and increase your storage space. 250 gold daily (20 hour refresh)
This will help tho who enjoy doing such at low levels of Ledgeremain.
When I personally get higher and start pickpocketing I will write advance guide for this.
