RR100 Estimated Requirement

Hey Guys,
I hear a lot of moaning about RR100 and I thought I'd shed some light on just how hard it is to get to RR100.

First off how many people do you know have 4 RR 80's? Well to reach RR100 you will need to essentially level up to RR80 4 times. Now the accelerated RR is only good for getting too RR80 so once their off their booster they will have to grind out the old fashion way.

Excellent! Thats about the exp curve I was hoping for: 70 is halfway to 80 80 is halfway to 90 90 is halfway to 100

Heh... Well, I'm a notoriously slow leveler (it took 75 days-played for Stoats to ding 80), so I'm probably not the best benchmark to predict how long it takes to level... But... Assuming that the RP bolster only applies to ranks 1-80, Stoats should be rr90 after 150 days played... and rr100 after 300 days played... heh heh... Now, I know there are some leveling freaks out there that will find a way to grind it out much faster, but my prediction is that the first rr100 folk won't show up for about 6 months or so :)

Well, if those numbers prove to be accurate, then it should be a pretty nice progression. But that's without knowing what zone-flips will be worth after the patch, how rp will be awarded for defenses (I noticed influence tics at BOs on the pts, but was RR 100 so I couldn't see the rp gain), or how rp gain will scale vs RR 80+ players. Lots of 'ifs'. I think you will see me back on WAR, at or soon after the patch. I may not be hitting it hardcore, but I've got a little spending monies, and I miss the old Warhammer. And of course, progression on my main sounds very tempting.

hmmm well thats not to terible bad really i remember in DAOC when they up the levels there there was a lot moaning groaning and bitching about it ,, but a month after that every one was adjusted and no one complained about it.... About the only gripe i have on the whole thing is those blasted leveling packs to get people to lev 80 quick ,, while there going to be great for those casual players aka those that can only play a hour or 2 a week . for me personally i hate them and think there a cheat .. personally ive always tried to avoided useing the free rvr exp items that they have had in game and even avoided as much as i could the double and tripple rvr exp days that they have had.. Ive always thought that leveling up in this game was to easy at times but then again im also one of those typpes that when i get in to a month long rvr craze ill spend 14 hours a day running round in both pugs and family groups in rvr to so by the end of the day my rvr level goes up alot lol.. oh well to each there own i guess im pretty sure im going to get yelled at by some one over this post.. but hey we are each intittled to our opions you know -) lol

Rawr! Huh, well, I tried to put a post together where I yelled at you, Ltol, but I couldn't come up with any reason to. I think you've got some valid points there and I agree with you to an extent about it seeming almost like a cheat, though I'm sure you can see Mythic's intentions with the RR boost. With the level cap going up, the playing field becomes significantly more imbalanced (after a few hours on pts, it became appearant that RR 100s are demi-gods), so a little boost to help folks up to a slighly more competitive rank makes sense. Also, are you back to Warhammer yet, or still running your produce stand? It seems kinda late in the season, but I don't think I've noticed you on ventrillo yet.

lol hey korzak -) yeah I see what you mean about the rr cap and i do agree with it -).. your point of view and mythics reasons for doing it -) for me though i dont like it ,, ive always taken the point of view of that if you want something you need to earn it not have it handed to you. as to the great game and all ... my produce stand closed oct 1st and i made it home by the 5th of oct or so... things here have been so nuts though i havent had the chance to really play ,,,, have made it into game 2 or 3 times though but only for a hour or 2 each time... most of OCT was taken up with getting things ready for Halloween, was spending 8 to 10 hours a day trying to get things set up for my haunted tents. (did post some vids of this years display btw) then it took just over a week to get every thing taken down and put away... finished with that last monday,, and sence then have been working on a back log of stuff my wife had on my HONEY-DO-LIST as well as my own NEED-TO-DO LIST.. just about caught up with those.. and today i start getting the out door Christmas display set up... so im hoping once i can get caught on things ill have time to get back into game more.... I have hoped into vent several times. but to be honest vents getting to the point where its eather scary for me or just confusing lol seems like every time i get into vent other than Bens out of game chanel i dont see many names i really know ( alliance sure did grow over the summer) and the ones i do know are eather doing something other than warhammer or over playing destro, and i dont want to intrude. lol oh well its going to take awhile for me to get used to things again -)

BTW on a side note here .. for those of you that are into collecting titles and unlocks ... with the cap being raised to 100 that unlocks a slew of new RVR titles..think some of them are on that list i posted last year lol

My prediction is I'll hit 90 and then go play another game. ;)

I guess I"m usually hanging out down in the LOTRO channel, but if you see me down there jump in and say Hey. I'm also thinking about coming back to WAR pretty seriously, since I've got a few bucks in the bank now.

I'm not sure when I will really come back. I've been playing this really AWESOME modification of Medieval II Total War and I'm falling in love all over again. Reminds me why Total War games are my fave RTS games hands down. Besides do I really want to go to rr100 now that I just made rr80? Not really. Not yet at least.

I really think your estimate is a bit low. But we'll see for sure quite soon :)

Woot Korzak, see yas when yeh come back :). Looking forward to trying the new oRvR, ah never did the PTS testing run so it's all new to me. If its first iteration has issues I'll just live in scenarios until they get it right :). Best Regahds, Dwooid of Caledor

A Dok made rr81 sometime today....My prediction is that we will see 1st rr100 on Badlands around the 1st of the new year...within 1 week either way. By the way...the renown gain in T4 is greater than pre-1.4....that is, if you fully participate in the new Orvr mechanic, the zone flips seem to be worth more. Another observation, TTK seems longer too....but I need more testing on that. I gained 80k in 1 city push yesterday (defending Altdorf, 2 instances, order pugs and we won both)....renown gain in killing warlords,King is higher. The city was fun...destro gave us a good fight....like 8-10 minute fights at Emperors Circle before we finally wiped em.

Unless we're talking about a character that's being played my multiple people 24/7, I think we should expect the first RR 100 sometime in February. The ramp up in rp required is looking pretty steep. What was it... 670k for 81? I tagged that this evening, and it's 705kish for 82. That, combined with the need to sleep, eat, shit and work/school will eventually slow down even some of the most hardcore single-player characters.

Aye - I didn't get to play much this weekend, but I noticed that I am definitely leveling faster than ever before. I thought the renown boost was only supposed to apply to characters under 80... Based on this, I withdraw my prediction of 6 months for the first rr100 folk to appear - My guess is now 3 months (mid February)... and that's just too soon... and...
