1st time Grandparent!

I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate my close friend and guildmate Xey on the new edition to his family. 

A few days ago Xey's daughter gave birth to a healthy baby girl weighing 7lb 6oz. 

At 36 Xey is pretty skeptical about being a granddad as he feels like being a grandparent makes him sound old but he's no way near old (age is just a number and you are only as old as you feel). 

I'm sure there are some of our family members who have become grandparents at a young age as well. 

Lots of love and well wishes to mum and baby (and the new grandparent adjusting to his new role)!

Gratz, Xey. You aren't old, you just belong to a family that gets the kid baring out of the way EARLY! My birth made my mom' mom a grandmother at only 37. I was 43 when I became a grandmother. Though I have to admit with the delay in having kids until their 30's as a trend more and more, it is becoming odd to be a grandparent before 50. So here is to us ODD FOLKS, not OLD FOLKS! Hehe!

Congrats... I have 3 and another on the way :) I have only one child. :) So he and his wife have been pretty busy. :) They are a blessing you have no idea of until it hits your heart. Then suddenly it's like the clouds opened and your infused with this huge amount of love. God Bless you all!!!

Congrats! Hey, just think, if you're this young, you have more energy to chase around your granddaughter. :) That's awesome news! Hope mom and baby are doing well! I have a pre-teen daughter. As a friend of mine said, "I love the idea of being a grandparent, but it means someone has to touch my daughter, and I just don't like that." I'll be polishing my steak knives when any boy comes calling for my daughter, who won't be dating anyone until she's approximately 500 years old. >:)

Heh, Cargan, my knees and eyes know the old age thing all too well. The rest of me is staying young, however.
