Hello,

Now that 2019 is finally here, I couldn't hold my breath any longer regarding these 13 (un)Lucky games that are scheduled to be released this year - games that I am excited about and that no one else seems to be talking about!

Here they are in alphabetical order:

Cyberpunk 2077
Why I am excited for this game: This is an open world RPG and the creators that made Witcher 3 are behind this game.

Doom Eternal
Why I am excited for this game:  First, and foremost, it is Doom.  Second, this game has Invasion mode, similar to the Veil Demon in Breach, which allows other players to jump into your single player campaign as demons trying to take you out. (Love Breach, and this Invasion mode seems to be similar).

GTFO
Why I am excited for this game: I love action and horror. This game blends these two genres into a 4-player co-op game. I'm usually not a fan of first person shooter, but I do want to try this game.  Disclaimer:  apparently GTFO is not an acronym for grand-theft-auto.

Jedi: Fallen Order
Why I am excited for this game: Hello, Star Wars! This single-player game will have lightsabers. May the force be with you. Why is no one talking about this game?

Mechwarrior 5
Why I am excited for this game: It's been 17 long years since Mechwarrior 4. I've been playing these games since the beginning. I know it is only a single-player game, but I really enjoy this franchise.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Why I am excited for this game: It's not an MMO, but it has a DAOC elements. They are self-publishing company that will release the game when its ready (was hoping it would come out in 2018; game first announced in 2012). Can build an army, attack castles, etc.

Skull & Bones
Why I am excited for this game: It's a pirate game! Sure, we were let down by Sea of Thieves, and Atlas, but third time is a charm, right? Ahoy!

Steel Division 2
Why I am excited for this game: WWII game that has Tanks, War Planes, strategy, tactics. It will have not only single-play action, but also multiplayer and co-op.

The Outer Worlds
Why I am excited for this game: It's a Sci-Fi RPG game made by Obsidian (Pillars of eternity, Dungeon Siege, Neverwinter Nights, Fallout New Vegas). Enough said.

They Are Billions
Why I am excited for this game: I am a fan of steampunk, zombies, and tower defense. This game happens to be a PVE steampunk zombie RPS strategy game where you defend your steampunk command center. I think this game is available on Steam now as an early accesss game.

Total War: Three Kingdoms
Why I am excited for this game: While I've never played a Total War game before, the epic conflict across ancient China presented in this game has me intrigued.

UBOAT
Why I am excited for this game: The setting is WWII. The game is a submarine simulator where you control the crew to control the vessel. I tend to shy away from survival type games, but I have always been fascinated with submarines and WWII genre.

Wolfenstein Youngblood
Why I am excited for this game:  Last, but not least, is a Wolfenstein game.  This is another franchise that I've played/followed since inception. The fact that this game will have a co-op mode will be a game changer.

If any of these games sound interesting, please comment below!  If you are following game that will be released in 2019 that is not mentioned here, also comment below.  I am hopeful that 2019 will be better than last year with regards to games!

Cyberpunk 2077 has me the most intrigued, I still play The Witcher 3 so another masterpiece from CDPR is very much welcomed.

3 games on that list grab my interest

GTFO - I absolutely LOVE 4 player coop games, had a quick look at it and it looks pretty good. ( I LOOOOVE Horror games, but I cant play them by myself cause I get too scared. So a coop horror sounds awesome :D )

Mount&Blade 2 - I've sunk a lot of time into M&B 1 and love it, I feel like I heard about a #2 happening a while ago but dropped off my radar again since it's been so long xD

Total War: Three Kingdoms - I'm a big fan of Romance of the three Kingdoms which this is based on, I havnt played any total war games but this one I might pick up

The Outer Worlds - I might look into because Obsidian, but I'm not a big fan of futuristic/post apocalypse/sci fi in general (the only sci fi I can cope with is star trek and star wars)

Jedi: Fallen Oder - Meh :( If it was set in a different time within the star wars universe I might be interested. I'd rather have a Kotor 3 or another game in the Jedi Knight series >:)

Many of us are excited for many of those games.  We have had a little chatter about them here and there.  It's just that most of what we talk about are either cooperative or multiplayer, and many of these games are not.

As an aside, M&B2 has no set release date yet, so always possible it won't be this year either.

For Skull and Bones, it is Ubisoft.  I'm always wary of their games, since they are such a mixed bag.  Some parts are solid, other things often suffer.  I'm going to guess that it will have issues with initial launch and lag as well.  Just being realistic, but the factor of PvE might be a decent draw, since Atlas is dragging their developer feet on the idea that is needs to expand upon the PvE landmass to allow people to play.

Honestly, I'm excited for nothing, every time I get the hypes for something, it turns out BAD. So I'll just wait for them to release, and then wait a year for them to be 75% off with all the DLC included, thanks.
