Has anyone found a way (besides recording with fraps or some other ultility) to get their hands on sound files from Rift? I would love to be able to use certain sound files for alerts on my phone. (Fire rift opening sound, Greenscales "I'M SO HUNGRYYYYY!" would make GREAT notification alerts)

I wish I knew. I also wish there was a model viewer (kinda like the wow model viewer) for Rift as well.

Not an ideal solution but you could use "What you hear is what you get" recording to sample sounds and the edit them externally into what you want. Unfortunately enabling that recording mode is different depending on your OS and sound chip, so you might have to do some research to track down how to do it on your system. People skilled at mining .dat files could probably pull out the raw sound files but that is in a bit of a gray moral area.
