East Coast Raiding Group Compilation – 2/7/2012

Ok, last night was our first initial meeting of the East Coast Raiding Group and I must say the turnout was beyond what I could have imagined. When we first started throwing this idea around I kind of expected to get about 5 people that were in the level of 48-50 and we’d need to not only run Experts together to get gear but also do some recruiting to get our Numbers up.

What we got was ten Gaiscioch Family members that were ready to Raid. We still need about 5 or more Raiders to give me a good warm and fuzzy on having consistent numbers on our Raid nights, but those numbers will come, I’m sure of it.

After some discussion on Vent last night, it looks as though our first Raid will begin with Drowned Hollows and we’ll gear up and move up from there. Our Raid times are Mondays and Tuesdays beginning @ 7pm Eastern and going until 9ish.

Ok, so I know I’m missing some people from last night. So please correct me on this and I’ll add your name. If I have completely forgotten your name from last night, please don’t grab the nails, hammer and cross to crucify me. I’m an old fart and the memory isn’t what it used to be.

Mr Mump, remember Fireburst and Fearghas went with us last night by mistake not realizing it was a different raid group. They are already in LJ's group and will locked out, so wouldn't be able to attend ours. A lot of people, like what happened with Fire and Fear, might not be fully aware of whats going on when asking in guild. Though last night it was fine, maybe we should make sure if we need more that anyone wanting to join understands there are two groups? I think we should just make a point of being extra careful to ensure neither group interferes with the other, so neither has any issues. I know Eeers had mentioned people using alts from the other group for this one and vice versa and perhaps until we have enough mains who are raid ready that might be a viable alternative? We can talk more about that later and then perhaps you can get with LJ and see how he feels about it. We really did great last night for a first time out.:D I have no doubt whatsoever that once we have enough to fill this out we'll go into DH/GP and do very very well. I was unable to attend the vent meeting for the raiders so would like to throw my name into the mix. Primarily I am gearing Roadblock as straight tank since my experience as a tank included over 6 years of raiding. However, I would be willing to attempt to fill any role if needed. Also, 7pm EST may be a bit difficult to make sometime and as a raider I understand that not everyone can also make it. So I would be willing fill the role as an off-tank alternate also as I have not started gearing towards DPS yet on this toon. If needed I could also bring Chrstian to heal, however would like to solely focus on one toon atm to better benefit the guild in the long run. Letting ya know Mump!

Ok, I didn’t know that is what happened last night with Fearghas and Fireburst, I’ll take them off of the list. Roadblock we’d love to have you, I’ll put you down in the Substitute List as OT.

I would like to bring in Syreine to raid for healing. I'm fairly new to healing in Rift but ran as a resto druid in WoW for 5 years (3 of those doing exclusivly progressive content) before I decided to switch games.

i cant sign up on the event page for some reason. I've set my character's grade to raid 2 ready but she doesn't show up
