PS4 Friends: Destiny + The Division + Diablo 3 + Other Multiplayer

Hello Everyone! Velloc and I tried out Destiny during the Alpha and beta that just happened and we had a blast. It surprised me because I am not what you would call great at shooters lol. We both really enjoyed the RPG elements, the Strikes (think dungeons), gear progression, storyline, and just running around with some kill quests exploring. We are both really excited about the raids that are planned ( they require 5 friends, no matchmaking and the 1st one complete with a jumping puzzle they say!!) and just getting immersed in the world.

I love MMORPGs and have played them nonstop since 1999. Lately I have found myself playing when a series of thoughts cross my mind " what's the point of this? why are you wasting your time? I think I am bored." I chalk it up to burnout from playing basically the same game with a different art skin for so many years. The amazing thing is that when I played the limited Destiny beta (12hrs) not once did those thoughts cross my mind. I was either totally invested in the story, on the edge of my seat because of the action, or laughing about some crazy "rift/fate/gw2 event" that comes out of nowhere and decides to eat us.

I know this type of game is not for everyone. Heck, I figured it was not going to be for me (because of the lack of shooter skills), but when the smoke cleared I fell in love with this game. Another thing I fell in love with (long ago) is this guild. I love that people accept you for who you are. If you are horrible at something you are helped and not shunned. I also love that those I have had the pleasure to play with in this guild treat games like games and not like some hot headed competition. Heck my first dungeon run with a guild group ended with us dying a million times, but we all had a blast. No one got mad. It was great. 

I am 33, have a family that is a priority (including a newborn daughter), and I am hoping that with this post I can find some like minded friends on the PS4 who just want to have fun and not get caught up in any drama. Although I would love to find a bunch of people who wanted to play Destiny, thats not my overall goal. I am open to playing any number of multiplayer titles with anyone who wants to join my friends list. I know I will be picking up The Division (think Destiny but 3rd person and more rpg focused) and even Diablo 3 for my wife when it comes out next month. So if anyone currently has a PS4 or reads this post in the future after getting a PS4, please feel free to add me to friends if you feel we share similar goals when it comes to playing games! I look forward to anyone who wants to have fun!

PS: I know voice chat on consoles is very important, so I would prefer the use of it in game, but if you do not have a mic or if their are any other objections to speaking in voice chat, please just log into our channel and just listen (no requirments to have a mic or speak) so its easier to coordinate. Well I have a ps4 and have destiny on preorder.  Had the chance to do the betas unfortunately  RL came first.  Would definitely be interested in finding family in this game.

I knew I was going to love Destiny ever since I saw the original trailers for it. After playing in the beta with Fubarbox and watching more game play videos afterwards 9/9 just can't come fast enough! Makes me glad that he goaded me into buying a PS4 earlier than I had planned.

Hello all! I wanted to let anyone who might be interested that in order to find others that are seeking the same gaming environment we know and love from Gaisgeach, I started a clan with Bungie's website tools. Other than trying to recruit like minded people for Destiny, feel free to chat there. Obviously this is not a replacement for Gaisgeach. We are here to have fun and hope to find some like minded friends to share our Destiny experience with.

I myself am 33 year old father of a newborn. I am starting this clan out of a desire to find like minded adults who understand that life is busy, we have enough stress in the real world, and that games are made to have fun and not to add more stress to our day. That said, I truly would love to share a great Destiny experience with anyone regardless of age if they can be mature, accept people for who they are, put drama aside, treat others with respect, and above all else have a good time and forget about the rest.

Destiny definately looks interesting and most likely I will be purchasing it. Although me living in EU hinders things a lot :)

While I personally will not be playing Destiny, we have a ps4 and have prepurchased it, so look for my teenager to be rolling around with you guys :) All he talks about is Destiny. (He requested to join, name is SlythIchyth)

my wife and I will be playing on release. I must've done something right in my life because she agreed to getting the PS4 destiny bundle so we can play together :-)

I just got my PS4 and am glad to have found this thread. I currently have Destiny for it, but still play Diablo 3 on the PS3 (need to upgrade that one asap :) )
