Just recently announced, not much info out there on it yet... anyone else find this interesting?

I love the setting, but I fear how it may end up being. A 3rd person shooter MMO, I fear it being Defiance with a different setting, especially since they are going for all three "major" platforms.

well i love the ip and i just hope they put alot effort into it and not a crap like defiance...
Been whispers about it since Warhammer came out. There was an announce, but not really been a whole lot of press about it other than an occasional article, every now and then.
This is a separate development to the cancelled Dark Millennium by Relic. The recent announcement WAR40k is still 2-3 years away though, I think I'll just pretend it doesn't exist until it's about to launch to save me the disappointment of it being cancelled like Dark Millennium
Sek, War40K was first announced being published by THQ. Game's Workshop and EA do not get along. When THQ started dying EA bought all their properties including War40K and GW pulled the license from them shelving War40K indefinitely. They have since signed with a new company to develop a new War40K MMO to be released (Potentially) Fall 2015. As long as EA keeps their hands off it, it might see the light of day. Games Workshop has made it very clear they will not license to EA again.
Just one of those things thats hard to NOT be excited about. I LOVE the War40k IP. So much potential there!
