Getting a new mouse - possibly Razor Naga 2014

I'm considering getting a Razor Naga 2014, but I've heard some complains about Razor mice durability.

Does anyone have some experience with this? Perhaps even with the 2014 version?

Another option is Logitech G700, but I like the additional buttons and smaller size of the Razor. Experiences with this one?

I have personally used the Razer Naga ultimate for over a year and would have to say its the best gaming mouse I have ever had. Would definitely recommend it over the Logitech.

I have a 2012 Razer Naga , never had a single issue with it. Have had to replace the feet on it twice, but that happens with every mouse in time.  Id get another one if anything ever happened to this one.

I have had my Razor Naga for around 4yrs and it works like day 1. I would never go back to anything else (except the 2014 model). It is amazing. Double up with a good macroable keyboard (i use a Logitech G510) and the possibilities are endless.

Razer Naga Epic ftw. It is INCREDIBLE. The wireless is just as good as the wired, but WITHOUT THE WIRE, lol (sorry to state the obvious). There is no delay in response between wireless and wired mode. The battery lasts a full day at least, and the transition from wireless to wired is seamless should you forget to charge it at the end of the night. The range is also really good, I am able to control my mouse while watching Netflix from my computer in the other room on my TV. The only down side: It does cost more.

I have the 2014 Naga and I love it. My previous mouse was the 2012 model, which was also good, except I that found the side buttons a bit 'hard', as in, there was a lot of resistance which would make the joints in my thumb hurt after hours of button mashing. There was nothing technically wrong with the old one, so I can't say I've had problems with durability, but I will say the 2014 model has much nicer side buttons - very easy to press, so I highly recommend it. Oh, and another selling point for me was that it's bigger than the old one. I have big hands, and the new one fits me much better in that regard.

I have a razor naga not sure what year it is tho. I do have issues using it with just guild wars 2. 1 out of 5 times when I use the right mouse button to pan my camera around the cursor moves but the camera doesnt. I  have tried everything from updating new software, reinstalling the software, taking apart my naga and cleaning it. There are a few threads of it on multiple websites if you do a search for razor naga and guild wars 2. I also heard logitech mouse has the same issue. Awesome mouse for other games tho :)

Melmoth - you say the 2014 is bigger than the 2012...so probably not ideal for female hands?  I was thinking of getting it, but I already can really only use 2-3 rows of the side buttons due to hand size.

What do the other female players use?

Thank you people. I think I will get the Naga then.

On size - all the reviews I have read says 2014 is larger than older versions, but not Logitech G600 size. A couple of female testers talked about it still being a bit large for small hands, but they were still pretty happy with it. I would always make sure to hold it before buying it.

PS: Being a european on a board with so many US'ers is great. Ask your question, go to bed, and wake up to all these wonderful answers. :-)

I've used Razer (Copperhead and Lachesis), Saitek (Mad Catz) RAT 7, and Roccat (Kone Pure). They are all good mice. The Razer Copperhead right button gave out... after 4 years of MMO/FPS heavy use (25+ hours per week), not to mention regular computer use, so I wouldn't hold that against it. ;) I'd personally suggest a Roccat mouse after using one now. They are well designed, comfortable, have good, sound construction, and are quiet (minimal noise from moving the mouse (none really), and clicking the buttons). If you want the grid of side buttons I'd suggest a Razer Naga. I have 4 (RL) friends that use them (regular and epic versions) and love them. I have also used a Razer eXactMat (control and speed sides) with all of these mice so my mousing surface hasn't changed between them.

I use a Mad Catz RAT 9 wireless (RAT 7 without the cord) and I love it.

If you meet yourself on the testing track, don't make eye contact. Lab boys tell me that'll wipe out time. Entirely.

I just gave up on a new Logitech G700 wireless (it was glitchy) and went with a wired Razer Death Adder. It's 24 hours in and I must say the Adder moves across the gaming pad much more smoothly than the Logitech. I prefer a simple mouse and a gaming keyboard so the Naga has too many buttons for me. I read nothing but positive about Razer gear.

I had the OG Naga. It lasted me almost 5 years. It just died on me right before Christmas and i replaced it with the new version with Synapse. I also replaced my OG Belkin Nostorommo with the newer Razr branded TE edition. I am VERY hard on my keyboards, mice and gaming peripherals. If it gets more than 3 years out of me, I consider that a victory. I have used Logitech products as well. I am still rocking a G110 keyboard too. You can't go wrong with either afaiac. it's more or less about comfort and usability. I try to hotkey and macro as much as I can.

Rizara - Actually, looking at this side-by-side comparison, the two versions look to be the same size, but I definitely think the new one feels bigger. I guess it's simply more ergonomic. My wife likes it too, so it should probably be okay for most female hands.

I have the one on the left and I have super small hands... like my 8 month old from bottom of  his palm to the top of his longest finger fits in my palm small and I would recommend it to any ladies.

So I went and got the Naga 2014 yesterday.

I'm used to a mouse that isn't very wide, so I will have to get used to the grib on this one. Getting used to the button grid is more a matter of getting out of the habbit of using the keyboard, than it is knowing which button I'm pushing. It works very well.

I'm sure this will up my game.

It will come with time and muscle memory. Between having a Naga and a Nostromo I only touch my keyboard to type in chat.

I use to be a die hard logitec fan when it came to any thing gaming related. I bought a new razer naga on suggestions from a few friends and fell in love with it. Then I replaced my old g15 board with a black widow and now I think I've officially converted to a Razer fan for all my gaming devices.
