A friend from my table-top playing group is playing GW2 and wants to join the guild. He completed the initial portion of the process and received the secret word, but he can't register. After checking all of the check boxes to agree to terms, he enters the secret word and proceeds to the next screen. At that screen he enters a username and all of the other information, but when he tries to submit it, he is sent back to the screen with the checkboxes and the secret word request.
Any suggestions?
Fog will probably know what is going on, but what name is he trying to use as his username? Just wondering if maybe he is using a name that could be already claimed. I do know the website has had some hiccups where it does do that and for already registered members we have to log completely out and back in to remedy the issue. Has he tried at different times and if not, when trying it that one time did he try closing out his browser and starting over? Let us know what name he is trying to put in as well if trying again from a clean browser start doesn't work. Then we can verify if the username is taken and if not, well, we'll have to ask Fog. I rather verify the above first before going to Fog because I know his job has him SUPER BUSY right now.
Thank you, Briseadh. I will find out what he is trying to use and suggest that he try something different just to see if that is the problem. I appreciate the advice.
Try again. I rebuilt part of it last night. Also make sure ad-aware and ad-blocker aren't preventing the submission. Not sure why but for some reason by default it prevents it.
