WAAAA, I mean, Warhammer Online still around?

I've spent a night and a half trying to figure out how to install and connect to the Return of Reckoning community. Am confused by the bulletin that was sent out 4 months ago...

Yes, Warhammer is alive and well thanks to some fans that put together Return of Reckoning. Check out http://www.returnofreckoning.com/ for download & installation instructions. Make sure to use the RORLauncher not the WARLauncher. The WARLauncher looks for Mythic servers which don't exist. The RORLauncher looks for the ROR servers.

Also you MUST use RoRLauncher.exe to launch the game.  You can create a shortcut on your Desktop, if you need.

Do I need to download using the Direct Downloads? Tried the Torrent but... ah... that hasn't worked as of yet.

I downloaded the 5 English Client .zip files. Used 7zip, extracted, but kept getting these 16 errors:

I thought it wasn't a big deal, each part did that, 7zip said it extracted everything.

Went to run the RoR launcher, got this on startup:

As noted in Elven's post, you may have to right click on the Return to Warhammer folder, select Properties, then uncheck the "Read Only" option and hit Apply so it will run through everything in your Warhammer folder.

That should solve the errors you see in your screenshot :). 

I am unchecking the Read-Only box as fast as when I almost installed Yahoo Toolbar, but it keeps coming back. Windows 10.

Well, then try Fog's link in the OP in that thread.  I don't know what to suggest, it's difficult to blindly troubleshoot stuff like this.  The download source works for too many others, to be the problem. 

Maybe try running 7Zip as Admin (since it sounds like you were getting errors with the unpack?), or try extracting the game files to your Public folders/other drive, rather than to /Program Files(x86).  Windows and anti-virus programs like to protect that directory, so I never install any of my games to there anymore.

It works! 7zip as admin, extract to C:\users\public\public games (made this). I am so glad that WAR is back, but why did I choose to rediscover it the week before finals?!

Martyr's Square, Europe server?

Also, is there cross-faction? I want to bring back my gobbo shaman Razzberi and black orc Candigram :D
