So with the magic find/gold boost you get from Consortium negotiater you receive up 200% magic find for 24 hours while in southsun. Combine that with magic find gear and you can easily get that up to 450-500% magic find.
I'm hoping they dont remove the buffs because this is perfect for farming karka and skelk.
Ohhhh - nice! Haven't been there since the patch yesterday. I feel some Karka busting coming today from my Engy :)
If anyone runs that high of Magic Find, please post here if you honestly feel it makes a different, and also maybe some items and amounts.
I ran through Southsun for about 3 hours yesterday with the magic find buff - I recovered 2 rares that whole time and one was after I logged off and forgot to put the buff back on. So I can't say it did much good. I opened a lot of event chests with just blues. There is also a gold buff and I thought I might give that a try. All in all I had a good run though - I got about 4 gold for the 3 hour run and I wasn't exactly playing all the time. And part of the time (about 20 mins) I had a lvl 14 in there to see how it went. She got zippo in the way of drops - even though they scale you up to 80 - all the drops and the exp was still at her lvl 14 level. I got some blues and like 1 green with the buff on her - but also lots of whites and "nothing". It is better to level her up in regular zones - but she is just a whim anyway. Next time I go farming there - maybe Monday - I'm going to run with the gold buff and see what 3 hours of farming does.
