Hi folks,
I remember in years past that we had a gathering of Gaiscioch at PAX Prime - either at an Irush pub, ArenaNet, or maybe both? In any case, is anything like that going on this year? Too early to tell?

Its a wee bit too early. Need to find out when zeni party is and when/if there will be an arenanet one.
How many typically show up for these gatherings?
In seattle? 10+
So far, I've only talked to one person who managed to buy tickets for himself and his wife, think he said Fri, Sat and Sun.
I bought tix for Sun and Mon, albeit in the aftermarket. I don't use Twitter so I didn't get the message that the tix were on sale until about an hour after they all sold out. We'll be there from Aug 29-Sept 3, though, checking out other stuff in the area on the days we're not in the convention.
I know I am going on Monday and got 2 other tickets for my sisters. Also plan on meeting up with the group when ever the pub one is planned.
I'll definitely meet up for the parties, but as for the convention... its not over until I've exhausted all of my angles, and I will be working on some. I had business reasons for wanting to attend the floor this year, and PAX screwing up their sales method may put an arrow in my knee, but it doesn't take me out of the race, quite yet.
so do you guys think it would be worth it to try and buy a pass on Ebay I mean I was saveing my vacation days so I could go to pax and do the meet up, but im just not sure on cost now. anyone know how much it costs for hotels/ car rentals?
Tentatively the party will be Sunday night. Waiting to hear back from ArenaNet and Zenimax. Excile, for hotel & car checkout hotwire. They've been having some pretty nice deals lately.
ok so fog a few more questions,
1. how far away is SeaTac airport from pax(cant find it on the map)
2. should I rent a car or just use taxis?
3. finally if I should become completely lost(haven't driven in a city bigger then Denver in like 2 years so it may happen) will there be a number we can call posted on the site for the parties and meet ups?
Edit: opening this up to anyone, also im under 25 so not sure if I can even rent a car.

Renting a car prob8bly would be cheaper. Seatac is south of seattle near tacoma. Isnt it 21 to rent a car? That may be an issue. Ill post my number to the people who rsvp to the event I create.
For getting to Seattle from SeaTac, if you can't rent a car, you can take the light rail. It drops off at WestLake which is only a few blocks away from the Convention Center. http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/Central-Link-light-rail I am also a local resident and PAX vet who will be able to help out if there are any questions.
well ignis how much is gas out there? i should be able to rent a car so if i do how hard is it to find your way around the city?(once again i haven't been to a city bigger then Denver for awhile now) finally would i be better off parking my rental at the hotel and taking public transport to pax?
Honestly, I think you might end up using the rental only as transportation between the airport and your hotel (assuming you got a room in one of the hotels around the convention center). Parking in downtown gets expensive unless you can get it folded into your room rates (though most won't in my experience). Gas bounces around $3.50 to $4.00 per gallon, since the dates are around the end of the vacation/start of school season it might be somewhere on the higher end of that range. 90% of where you'll want to go is easily within walking distance of the convention center and easy-ish to navigate since it's in a square layout. The only exception might be the Space Needle/EMP/Science Center, but there is a tram you can take from Westlake Mall that drops you off right there. Finding my way around Seattle is easy for me, but I've been dropped in the middle of London before and didn't have a problem finding my way around there. Seattle is so much easier comparatively.
lol ok ignis we may just have to meet up and you play tour guide when I get there.
