Live right now! (it's over)
Here's some goodies for those that missed it.
Patch 2.16:
- Launches before PS4 Beta (Feb 22nd).
- Character stats will affect quick synth success.
- Gear dye preview system.
- Characters will appear moist after rain (grats Chuck).
- Players will be able to create ground markers.
Patch 2.2:
- Launches in March.
Binding Coil of Bahamut:
- Four new Turns.
- No more "Turn 3" nonsense.
- Turn 1-5 need to be cleared to do the new turns (gear level increase will make things easier).
- Turn 1-5 lockout removed.
- Every week, players will receive a buff to make Turns 1-5 easier.
- DF Coil in the works (and can enter at any Turn).
Dungeons:
- Amdapor Township - "The most challenging dungeon yet." Entrance will be West of Camp Tranquil.
- Brayflox [Hard Mode].
- Halatali [Hard Mode].
- Difficult dungeons, like Pharos Sirius, will have their loot tables adjusted to match their difficulty.
Primals:
- Leviathan will nom you in 2.2 (loot table will contain "high" ilevel weapons).
- We will see new Primals from 2.2 onwards (compared to the rehashes of 1.0 Primals we have seen thus far).
- No Leviathan-Egi available yet (new actions are saved for expansions because a level cap increase is required, & it needs to be fair for other jobs).
- Thornmarch Extreme.
Misc:
- Vanity system.
- Kobold & Sahagin dailies.
- New Hildebrand quests.
- Fishing chairs.
- New fishing challenges.
- Item level increase, with new craftable gear.
- Small houses will be expanded ("size will be double of now"), and have basements to build airships.
- Yoshi wants a new color for the drake mount.
- New Allagan Tomestone.
- New hairstyle(s) every patch.
- Fat Chocobo mount with PS4 CE (Free if you already own any CE - WOO!).
- PS4 release on April 14, 2014.
- A new OST will be available with the 2.1 songs, & comes with a new minion code.
- Guide books will be going on sale.
- Lightning Returns event repeated in February (so get your vanity items/haircuts if you want them this time!)
- Valentines Day event starts on the 4th.
- "Princess Day" event.
- I'm sure the XIV subreddit will have full details in an hour or so, if you demand moar info (I need sleep now, so this is all you get from me)! ;P
