Thanks for posting Shmi. Chris and I were discussing this yesterday and had both come to the conclusion that heat of battle is not the best use of the FC buff if you apply maths to the benefits!
With housing costs being so high, and the economy crashing, it is getting a little more difficult to make money in the game. You can no longer sell HQ fish for 50k or cash in philosophy tomes to sell crafting mats for 30k. Even raid treasure map sales are devaluing each day.
That said, in my opinion, the single most valuable buff we have is reduced teleports. This is at a flat 20% regardless of player level. Whereas reduced repairs are beneficial to those at 50, but insignificant to lower level players as the scaling is fairly consistent, and then ramps up once you get darklight and beyond.
With the new content, players are much more likely to teleport to do dailies, gather for maps, complete story questlines and the like. This is going to be super expensive for those not 50, as it is one set fee regardless of level. For those of us who are 50 and wanting to accrue a few extra hundred thousand for housing, every time we port, our potential housing donation is lessened just getting to where we need to go to farm money!
The dungeon xp has been considerably increased for those levelling, so they would still be better off without Heat of Battle, than they were pre patch. Dungeon roulette in particular gives an excellent bonus. I got 158k the other day on my 48 sch for doing one level 20 ifrit! Crazy, but nice!
We will go with what the majority feel is best, but if you want to go by factual maths, teleport reduction would help the guild the most, by saving us money each time we port, and allowing those of us paying for housing to put more into the collective pot.
Remember: Heat of Battle only 5% per level vs Redcued rates 20% cheaper every time you port regardless of level.
