Ebonheart Pact is now the least populated alliance according to the latest poll

Ebonheart Pact, which used to dominate the numbers, has now fallen to 3rd place.  If these numbers hold for release, I think this is great news!  When we first chose EP, I was a little worried we were making an overpopulation problem worse, but now we get to help out the underdogs.  I vastly prefer being a member of an under populated realm, especially in pvp.   So many more people to kill. :}

Hi Falcon, I like seeing that too.  It is always more fun striving from the underdog position.  However, Tamriel Foundry has 20,000+- members.  The number I keep hearing is 1,000,000+ preorders.  With the 5-6 million(?) subscribers they seem to be aiming at, who knows where the numbers will end up at.   I think that "elves" are always more popular than "not elves", with that alone I could see Gaiscioch having to do emergency member rallies in Cyrodiil on a regular basis to stave off keep losses, etc.

This just might be what it takes to get a PVE guy like myself into trying RVR/PVP or whatever its called in ESO :)

As with Grim, I' m super excited to "possibly" be on the underdog side.  But remember campaigns don't have an entire alliance's population in them.  But underdogs rock and we will show them that low in pop doesn't mean low in quality.

EP is not on top anymore in numbers?? Now I have to find a new guild, and game releases tomorrow!

this will vary so much after launch.. specially now with no alliance for race boundary..  high elves were easily on top of the list as for casters because of there magika... all this will change 100 times

Nice, though who knows how good this guy's survey base is in relation to the player base. I'm glad to be playing on a less populated faction, it always makes the AvA stuff more entertaining and forces players to work together more. Size doesn't matter as much as structure and position.

Yeah I wonder how much this had to do with pre-ordering getting the races unlocked.

But then again I figured that would increase the EB numbers... oh well

Not sure it really matters how many people say they will be in this alliance or that alliance.  What matters is that we have fun!

Most of the EP members were Nords, Skyrim players, and without the race lock, most of them changed to AD. Quality over Quantity.

Sorry, Double Post...

I have a few friends who are purposely not picking Ebonheart because they want to explore new/different lands since they played a lot of Skyrim and Morrorwind.

But as an EP character, I get to explore all of the AD and DC content once I hit level 50 and, apparently, you spend more time in their lands because of the way the quests are scaled for level.  So we will actually spend the least amount of time actually in the Ebonheart area.

I do not think it has to do with the races as much as  from all the forums ,reviews,videos etc over the last couple months  the VAST majority saying that the EP has the least enjoyable lands and qeustlines. Not bad qeustlines  just the least enjoyable compared to the others. A D being the most immersive and fun of the lands.

Underdog > Overpopulated

Id question the statistical significance of a 4000 sample with over a million preorders. Also id have a feeling the tamriel foundry alumni are heavily stacked with AD guilds.  With the majority of the guilds/players going in cold and the calm down after launch, the numbers will be different.

I'm hooked, this just brought me back to the times of DAoC. I don't think I'm even going to be able to sleep tonight while waiting for this to launch.

No sleep tonight, have GTA, WvW, and launch. No time for sleep. BTW you can play any race you want with the preorder Imperial edition. I know many who will be rolling woodelf's and high elf's in EHP. 

If EP is truly the least populated (not sure that will really be the case. some comments on the TF poll point out the numbers don't all add up. not too mention that not everyone is on TF much less taking their polls), it will only give GSCH a chance to shine!

I have to say AD seems like the more appealing zone with "nicer" looking environment initially and also the quest seems more exciting rather than EP's.
