MMO maps are pretty cool, no? Heck, maps in general tickle my fancy, and there's a new interactive one on The Elder Scrolls Online website that's worth checking out. ZeniMax says that users can "see new screenshots and concept art and read journals, excerpts from books [...] and more from the world of ESO" by using the map.

This is very cool! So I am assuming the areas that are not colored in will be exploreable by all factions. I wonder how they will handle the faction borders. I really want it to be heavily guarded areas where the NPC's come after you if you venture too close. Or at least natural obstacles that keep you from crossing over. I don't want some invisible wall stopping my progress. That would totally break my immersion.

You will never see a person of another faction in pve. Theyve mention this a few times in the ask us anything blog. Even after 50 when you start your "second" and "third" quest your in a separate version of that area for your faction. The only place you will find players of another faction is in cyrodil.

  ohwell atleast death won`t be like back in EQ where you lost exp and could lose your lvl , so getting lost and dying 15 times won`t be bad just a reapair bill most like , I had a guilde once bind hr toon in fear at the supposed safe spot , 

she had to log mid raid and gated to bind spot to camp out until raid continue later next day , mobs had respawned as they were on a 13 hr repop , and she went from a lvl 56 to a lvl 52 before she could disconnect as every time she died she respawned where she died and was caught in a deathloop .

   And remember just think like a Ranger  ..  a  Ranger is never lost  they are just Exploring  ... yea   hehe

So I went searching for more information on Exploration in the "ask us anything blogs" based on Fog's above statement. Unfortunately, I could not find any good details. However, that is not to say it isn't in fact there, as I'm a notorious skimmer and miss key details from time to time. As my Mother always said to me... "if it was a snake it would have bit you by now."

However, I did find a nice section in the Tamriel Foundry under development FAQ that addressed exploration located here. Look under Gameplay -> Exploration and the PVE -> Questing/Dungeons.
