Character Build: Group Support/Fire AOE DragonKnight "Geomancer"

If you search dragonknight with destruction staff on youtube there is a small video of a guy playing what he calls his "pyromancer" build.

Yes i've seen it. This is similar, but includes the healing and support side of things.

I have been thinking very seriously about a Dragon Knight using Inferno Staff and 2h and going with mostly AOE. I'm going with either Breton with heavy armor or Nord with light armor, with 2 med with either one. But, I haven't gotten the race picked yet.

Any ideas?

Just watched the video - Thanks Grymjack! - That's exactly what I was thinking and Fire Mage sounds good to me.

With the Spiked Armor maybe I should be looking at Breton with light armor. I know he suggests using Dunmir but I really want to stick with either Breton or Nord.

Any thoughts?

I've been working on this and your right Breton and with at lest 5 light armor is the way to go.

Now working on 2h or bow. Both have some AOE and you know you will always end up close enough for a little melee with a 2hander but a bow will keep you at range kiting.

Back to work! 

Interesting ideas. The more research I do and the more different types of builds I find out about, the more difficult it becomes to decide what I'm going to concentrate on. I saw that other guy's Pyromancer build but that seems pretty geared for PvE, and so this one above might be better for PVP. More research is required!

Agreed! I said to my wife yesterday, 'I wish they didn't name the four classes. just call them group 1,2,3,4 and each group have three lines of abilities, A,B,C. Then I wouldn't have spent so much time not understanding how true it is that you can build so many different characters. I started this too used to the idea that a Warrior did one thing and a Wizard did another'.

I agree Tuz, that's why I give my builds their own name. It gives them an identity of their own :)

In the end I'm a Breton Dragon Knight named Tuz Seaghdha and studying to be a "Fire Mage" wielding two inferno staffs and focusing on AoE as I grow and develop my power. I will be fighting with my cousins of the Ebonheart Pack and, along my side fighting will be my wife, a Breton Sorcerer named Mealla Seaghdha switching between two destruction staffs of ice and lighting, concentrating on AoE, working to become an "Ice Mage" as her studies progress. We are both wearing mostly light armor with one med and one heavy piece each. Concentrating on AoE with a mix of defensive capabilities with stuns, roots, and knock downs will give us the mob control abilities that should make us both very capable solo in all arenas, as well as very group worthy.

update: I changed to fire staff with 1h&shield and of course worked the melee into the skills. At lest for now. :)
