Range + Career Video

I wanted to throw together a little video showing different class play styles for my Sexy Boots (gaming archers) to kind of give an overview of how the class abilities work with the bow and such.  I only spent a couple hours on each class, just level 5-6, but I think the video does show the general 'feel' of how the class choice can fit into ones particular archer play style and hopefully can help ya choose.  As a note, I don't go into the abilities and little tricks/tips I found, I do want to annotate that stuff, but I'm not sure I'll have time before launch...

Personally I'm torn between the DragonKnight/Archer and Templar/Archer.  I'm going to end up with both most likely, but which one will be ESO's incarnation of Mystriss Freya is quite in the air right now...

I love the templar archer, especially with aedric spear abilities to supplement. I got to around level 17 with it and was doing amazingly well.

Yar I did Archer/Templar (stealth healer) at first too, but making that video I did the Archer/DK and now I'm really torn lol

The DragaonKnight and Templar certainly seemed to handle the bow better than the sorcerer and nightblade.  In the beta, I tried a bow with a sorcerer and nightblade, and gave up on using the bow.   I assumed it would be as bad with the DK and Templar.

The more videos I watch, the less certain I am about what class style I want to play! :)   There may be too much flexibility with ESO :)  

Welp, I just finished playing an Archer/DK through Stonefalls and I think that'll be what I'm going to go with as it matches with my play style very well. 

I really liked the Archer/NB, but it seems like it doesn't quite hit that range/melee play balance I am looking for.  Archer/Templar and Archer/Sorcerer were more the kiting type, also missing my range/melee play style mark. 

They are ALL fun though, and yes, it does make me want to make one of each type, unfortunately I do not think I have the stamina to get through that much PvE hehehe

I played templar archer with aedric spear skills instead of dawn's wrath. I liked it quite a bit more. There's less kiting involved.

DK you say?  It seems you'll be looking a little more spikier than your usual self --don't those things hurt when they pop out of your back :)  I think the silver bolt morph has a pull, if that's what's missing from your templar.

I had my mind fixed on NB archer for a long time, but the past couple days I've just about changed my focus entirely to Sorc Archer.  The endgame possibilities seem amazing.  Velocitus Curse + Poison DoT for a harsh tick down;    Bolt Escape, Boundless Storm, & Hasty Retreat for insane kiting and runaways;    Long range magic and stamina attacks in every damage type;  and for builds that are half stamina skills a sorc has plenty of built-in magicka management.

Edited to add:  Oh, and imagine ENCASE with any of the bow's single target or aoe stuff!  That's it, I am definitely going sorc archer.

I started with a Night Blade Archer for the stealth abilities but moved to the Sorcerer Archer wanting to keep all Ranged. That brought me to thinking of dropping the bow and using two Destruction staffs would give me more ability choices that work well.  But looking closer at the Dunmer and their racial magika & stamina, I again lean to the Sorcerer Archer. Do I seem as confused to you as I feel? :)

I think any class can make a good archer. You just have to build to their strengths.

Sorceror probably has the most CC and mobility options, but DK and templar have excellent support abilities. Nightblade has a lot of interesting options too.

I see a lot of good combos in the bow/sorc lines mixing magicka and stamina.  I need to look more closely, but at first glance I  don't see the same synergy with staff + sorc lines.

The bow is just fun to shoot.  I could grind PvE for hours just jumping around pinging my bow.
