I did this combo on the last day of the last beta. It was an interesting idea but didn't work well. Imperials seem to be a little bit "tanky" no matter what the class. My initial thought was to make him a bit more resilient but it didn't seem to workout that way.
Just some thoughts on this build. Also I had a very limited time to lvl him so who knows.
the racial skills don't even come into play until higher levels when you have the extra skill points to invest in them. what weapon were you using?
I started him with a sword and shield. I wanted to go dual wielding but that wasn't available at the level. I also focused on Aedric Spear and a little bit of Restoring Light. I was only able to get him to level 7 in the time I was able to play him.
That build might get more interesting at higher levels.
all you have to do to start dual wielding is find another one handed weapon and put it in your off-hand. there are a lot of chests in the tutorial/prison area that have various weapons and armor in them.
