Possible EU Chapter?

Hi all :)

My brother and I play from the UK, and I know this came up awhile ago before release, but will there be an EU chapter of the guild in ESO?

Basically we have characters on the NA megaserver, but are finding that the AvA is pretty dead during the times we're available (and I really need to stop going to bed in the AM) :P So most of the time we go into AvA it's more of a quiet tour of Cyrodiil, and we might only come across a few enemies in an entire hour.

We do have some RL friends from both sides of the pond, but with the times we play, we can only really group with those on the EU server.

Obviously there are other minor issues, like latency and lag spikes from the busy transatlantic exchanges.. it doesn't seem like much on the surface, but it makes it pretty hard to dodge/counter in dungeons, and often means the difference between getting behind cover in time while defending keeps, or CC'ing the other person before they CC you.

Just wanted to explain in a little detail there, as I was looking at other website forums about the EU megaserver still temporarily being situated in Texas, but there's always a ton of posts saying it doesn't matter which megaserver you're on ^_^

If we're not going to have an EU chapter, would you happen to know any good medium/large guilds on there you can recommend for when we're playing our EU characters?

We will never branch into more than 2 places at a time. The logistics and cost on our family become to much work. We keep a very focused approach and can not nurture the family on 3 fronts. Our family name would suffer and our the players of the eu chapter would not have a Gaiscioch experience and I'd never hear the end of the red head stepchild comments. It would not end as well as you would imagine.

Ok, thanks for taking the time to reply, I completely understand your position on that and the importance of keeping the family close-knit. Alas for me it's the same problem I've had for the last 17 years of MMO's - play on EU servers with lots of strangers, or join US ones with my gaming friends, but play alone unless I'm willing to ruin my sleep. Getting too old for the late night gaming sessions now :3

We actually have quite a few that play European primetime. Kaytlin runs ava at that time. I see several dungeons being posted between 7-12 am. You should be able to find people to play with. Make sure to chat in your activity room and get on raidcall. There's usually like 70 people online when I sign on to work in the am.

Just the other day a few of the OZ members were discussing starting an event during australia's primetime. Personally I play at all hours due to my work schedule so if you're wanting to start up something like a small dagger squad during EU primetime I'd be happy to join you as well, I'd love to get some fast paced smaller-type groups going regardless.

ETA... Don't get me wrong Fog, I absolutely love the ClubGaiscioch events, I look forward to them all week and try to never miss them but just to vary up the experience a bit.

My brother and I had a long chat about the pros and cons.. that's the trouble when it's so 50/50, but the deciding factor was the great guild here, so we're going to stick full-time on the NA server, rather than have our mains on the EU one. Lots of good folk in the guild, and the website makes it really easy to keep organised and fulfill crafting/harvesting orders.
