Other Guilds keeping AvA locked down

I understand the need to lay off the yellow and blue keeps to let them have some hope or they will just quit and we will be bored.  This guild has a massive presence that can be very intimidating.  Through my observations during the week other pack guilds and groups come into AvA and take any keeps that are owned by the other factions, keeping them pinned down and locked up, just what we don't want to happen.  I do not profess to totally understand AvA dynamics, I do understand if somebody can not win and get some credit and points they will just pick another campaign and switch in hopes of doing better. This is an observation of what is going on in Hopesfire IMHO, I have no answers or solutions at this time. What I would not like to see happen is that when the word gets out that we took the whole campaign  everybody just runs away.  We do need a place to improve as we all get to 50 plus.

This is not an issue of us taking the entire campaign and running everyone off.  We took the campaign in the middle of the night after the main threat had finished guesting to our campaign for lolprestige wins.  The simple fact is that people who like to pvp are going to want to win at that pvp.  To do that the factions are going to team up in concentrated alliances.  That is going to result in some serious balance issues which are already being shown.  This was the case in every game that came before ESO and will remain the same after.  The only thing we can do is stick to the ideal of allowing for a fair fight between the "enemy" and us.  What other guilds do is their own business.  Here is to hoping that AD and DC wake up and start bringing something to the table. 

It's a balancing act and the purpose of the campaign is to win.  The only way we can let them get a foothold and let them gain some backbone, is to stay away or leave the campaign.

By saying that I should let them take over an area and not engage them, is to say that I'm not allowed to play the game as designed.  It sucks because it is such a double edged sword, because I want them to come out and give us a fight, but at the same time, I'm not going to just hand it over.

Don't know what the ultimate answer is, but given our numbers, it probably include taking a vacation in another campaign that needs some of us more.  At the moment I'm just running around alone, but that's not the answer either.

As it is now, it took me about an hour and a half to fill my 20 kill quest, but at least I helped them get their quest filled up too.

In closing, choosing a campaign for this size of a guild is a crapshoot and it looked so good on the first day.  DC was not letting us take anything without a fight and taking that first keep was an uphill battle.

Please do keep in mind that the games only been live for FOUR days.

As it stands right now, to actually be able to pvp you need to guest another campaign.  But that may change.  Or perhaps there's a way we can entice some opposing-faction guilds to join our campaign to give some competition.

From what I can read on the forums (it's on the internet and must be true), then NA Skull Crusher has a DC problem that I think I want to guest tonight.

An interesting development,  apparently there is a 4 guild coalition forming on DC with recruitment for more.  Here's to hoping it doesn't fall off.

It would be great if it works out for them, but I'm not sure a massive defense from our part is going to be fun for them.

Haha man I enjoyed reading the official forums thanks for posting that Kitty. I know we were looking to being the underdog, but now I can't help bu feel like a bully after reading that. ^_^

here's my thoughts, the more we dominate the more we attract competition, give it time and more and more guilds from ad and dc will join hopesfire, additionally, we can help encourage them, perhaps we could find the campaigns with the strong ad or dc and guest in them for the club gaiscioch, at least when the event lands at a time when hopesfire is already EP controlled

Guys, please do not tell them when we are on the field. Right now their running scared. If you tell them 2 nights a week a giant blob is coming they will avoid the field all together. Trust me I have a lot of years put into public community event running. 

We will find a fight. If there's not one on Hopesfire well go looking for one elsewhere. Just be patient and try not to beet the few foes that are trying to stand down. Let them have their corner. Trust me things are much more exciting when their heart is in it. Demoralize them and we'll be fighting no one.

One thing we can all agree on, fog knows what he's doing, we all trust you know how to find us a great exciting battle for months and years to come :D

I was standing alone in the tower at one of the resources yesterday and they (15+) would not engage in anything.  They are beat at the moment and unless something happened today to empower them, then I'm going to guest around starting with Skull Crusher.

I know that there is an event planned for tonight, so if you plan on attending that and also guesting another campaign.  Then hold of with using your guest access before knowing where he is going, so you don't get the 24hr lock.

I agree, being on top is excellent, but in order to make it worth anything for us we need opponents. What's the fun of sitting in our keeps with nothing to fight. I say we sit back and let them rally against us. Victory means nothing if it isn't hard fought!

DC making a come back on Hopesfire.  Just checked in on AvA   the DC now have 5 keeps and one outpost as follows, keeps, Warden, Rayles, Glademist, Aleswell, Ash and the Nikel outpost. Looks like a good push back  I have hope :)

Go tell them to stick around until Friday late night :P

Keep in mind it is only the first full week of play.  Many of our family have been playing ESO on the PTS server for at least six months, and the majority of those who were not involved in PTS play were involved in the beta and early access.

Our generals already have field experience and are training troops.  Many other players are just getting their feet wet and trying to unravel ESO's nuances.  It won't be long before we see some up-and-coming generals take the field to oppose us.

Patience.

I have been keeping an eye on Hopesfire. It looks like DC is starting to make an attempt to recover,  it varies from 2 keeps to 6 keeps held by them and seems to go back and forth several times in 24 hours.  It is good to see, and I think we are finally starting to develop some game-play on the campaign.   True its slow to start but at least its starting and I hope our skills grow along with it.  Looking forward I can see how this can develop into a fierce deep rooted pride in the guild, win or loose.
