State of the economy?

I may be wrong; but I don't see many crafted armors in the store.  This may sound like a crafting discussion, but I'm looking at this from the economy end.

The crafters are having storage issues and many are abandoning crafts or quickly crafting anything in order to make room.

And are people crafting or deconstructing?  I find I focus alot on deconstructing so I can level the crafting and extract the upgrade items.  Since trying to upgrade a white with 3 upgrade items and it failed and ate up the garment and the upgrades; I'm waiting to accumulate the upgrades so I can create pieces with 5 upgrades each.

I have noticed this as well. I am only in one crafting guild which I think has most of us in it, The Sidekick Order. I have noticed there is NO crafted armor there or in our guild store. I think we should be listing as much armor for sale as we can as you get more XP from deconstructing items made by other people. I know sometimes I am hesitant to list my armor because I can't list it for much being they are white items and I'd rather have the mats than the 50+ gold I could get for selling. I think with the game being so young, the economy just hasn't had a chance to form yet.

Are you talking about lvl 50 stuff, or earlier? Gear is so incredibly plentiful as you are questing that I'm constantly deleting whites and sometimes even non-whites if I'm having too much fun to head to town. Unless you're an uber min/max person looking to upgrade every 30 minutes it kind of seems pointless to me to worry about gear at this point.

Of course I'm only in my early 20s so maybe this changes in higher levels.

my gold count has been suffering so ive been putting green loot in the guild store, though i would love to deconstruct for some more honing stones or pitch or whatever, but gold also helps with bag space so im trying to even it out, im still leveling my craft at a decent pace through making items so im trying to balance both.  then again im still level 11

Most of the time I've found crafted armour is "made to order" because you never know exactly what piece/trait/setbonus the person will want.

EDIT: Also, listing fees on the guild store really stifles putting stuff up "just in case" someone might want it =\

Well, for me, my crafting, since I am not really getting any extra materials from any other source than  myself, pretty much everything I get, I refine and deconstruct.   I do sell stuff with ornate on it, but I pretty much break everything down for the materials I need such as jute, ores, and wood.   I also break down everything I make usually, even though it is said it is not proficient to gain inspiration from breaking your own stuff down, I do find that it allows me to get the most out of the mats I have farmed or bought, and it allows me to save some money on the racial ingredient on the off chance I get that back.

That being said, I will gladly make something for other guildies, but with what seems like alot of crafters, no one seems to be asking for items partially because they already have a tight group of friends that are crafting, or as someone said, gear is abundant.   The only real trade I have done is as a swap of items with specific traits, as I crafted a lvl 1 item with a trait and they in turn sent me back something else for traits.

Considering that the only crafting mats really seen in the guild bank is provisioning mats, and the few other crafting mats I see are only in the guild store, I honestly can not afford to put stuff up when I am barely getting enough materials to craft with yet alone improve the items beyond white to make it worthwhile for anyone to buy.

At end game, I will probably end up putting items up in the guild store that is crafted, mostly because by that time I should be able to find materials to be able to put up something worthwhile, but considering the number of Improvement items needed to guarantee a 100% successrate right now is steep without the skill points to reduce that, the cost isn't worth it at this time.    After all, with no skill it takes 5 green improvement items to get a green, 7 blue items to get a blue, and probably 10 of the purple material to get one to purple and like probably a bunch more of the lengedary items.

The game is new, so give it time, after a good solid month you will probably see these crafted items up, and more people willing investing in those items for their twinks and alts once their main has pockets flowing with gold.
