Launch updates...

Once the store, account system, and game come back online, you will see the following changes:

• The official ESO store at store.elderscrollsonline.com will be switching over for launch. You will be able to select your preferred subscription plan and payment method.
• The ability to upgrade from a Standard Edition to a Digital Imperial Edition will be available in the official ESO store.
• The Palomino horse will be available for purchase from the official ESO store.
• In-game mail is being turned back on.

Anyone heard about why they had mail down?  Just curious to see why they can turn it back on now that launch is happening.

It was part of a glitch in the functionality of the NA megaserver's social mechanics (guild, mail, banks). Bank inventories suddenly disappeared, and some players were accidentally hooked into each other's accounts, giving them access to the other person's guild, bank, character and mail systems. At that point ZOS took the servers down completely, and since then has been restoring the social functions one by one. Mail is the last to come back online.
