Here's a great video of ItsZiz from Mostly Harmless guild doing PVP on his lvl 26 bow/1h+shield sorcerer. He includes various fights but features several fights where he takes out Veteran Rank players, include a V8 player:

I know videos like this focus on the strengths of the build, but you can also see the weaknesses of this type of build a few times in the video (mostly burst, had problems if fighting back to back fights and those that can survive the first set of attacks). Really this is what I like about ESO, nice balancing acted. His build seemed to work well with what he was displaying in the video, so you know based of that people are going to want to cry nerf and all, but of course no one wants to show their build failing in a highlight video right? lol
A bow sorc can be very powerful - but as stated by Rooks - has great flaws as well. My bow sorc was wiping out groups of 3-4 PvE mobs of slightly greater level typically with ease because of all the AE that can be put down - but let one or two mobs survive the first wave of my assault - and it turned nasty really fast. Even in groups I would get all the agro and be the first to run screaming - or worse die.
My NB on the other hand while being able to do mostly single target damage had a bit tougher time taking out groups of 3 - 4 slightly higher mobs had an easier time adjusting to adds and still surviving without doing much screaming or running. And maybe more important - if I stumbled upon a group of mobs with my sorc - thus lacking the prep time to begin the salvo of AE's - it was pretty much doom and gloom all around for me. Yet the slippery NB had little trouble adjusting and usually dispatched the trouble makers.
And, again, as Rooks points out, it is a balancing act and will end up being what best suits your play style. That is why I am still pondering - even at this late hour in the waning moments before the dawn of ESO's launch - what class I shall construct as my first.
