If all you do is rush to lvl 50 you are going to miss a lot of wonderful things woven into the game. IMHO this is not a rush to end game. It was designed for you become immersed in the ESO world develop a sense of honor and dedication to your faction and take it slow and easy.  The construction of the game was made around the Lore and depth of ESO.  You see it everywhere in game, from the NPC's to the Bards in the taverns and city squares.

The Lore is interwoven and all there, if you go slow, read and listen. from the books to the bards.  You can go fast, click click click your way through the quest dialogs, run through the towns and villages never stopping to look and listen and go go go to lvl 50.  Well not for me, not this time. ESO has the lore the stories and music interwoven like I have never seen before, this time I am going to stop and smell the Jute, rest at the taverns and read the books. I just do not care when I get to 50, I care about enjoying a wonderful in depth world of interwoven Lore that has been layed out before us to explore and enjoy. With my involvement with Gaiscioch I can not help but feel the experience ahead just got a ton better.

You can find the ingame lore and fiction books here.

already posted the following in a response but thought it fit here also.

A lot of the music was done by Malukah. She did the credit songs and they have those songs in game at the public houses and town squares.  They used the same approach for other musicians that do the bard tunes.  All the tunes are originals made just for ESO and reflect the lore if you listen to them.  I knew I was in beta and time was short but I listened to them anyway.  I think the approach of original lore tunes and letting the musicians write and perform them was just fantastic.  Here is the link to Malukah's site where you can download her tunes. I read she has 6 ingame but I can not find the refference on it again.

i very much so agree, ive played mmo's before and been a raider doing endgame content 4 nights a week 4 hours a night trying to perfect every percentage point of damage etc.  and its why i quit playing, this i plan to play way more relaxed, enjoy spending time with my gf in a game i finally got her to be willing to play, and know why im doing the quests im doing not just where the arrows are telling me to go :)

Couldn't agree more, TESO is the first game I've played since Everquest and DAoC that has actually gotten me attached to my character. Which, I believe, is why I haven't been able to stick with a single mmo since. None of them really fostered that character attachment aspect that rpg's are meant to have.

I too agree 100%! The game is a very involved and highly developed Roll Play Game that would be unjustly done a disservice to race through without slowly and carefully living each and every moment of experience the world of Tamriel has to offer! Some folks see the PvP as the whole game with everything being about going out and killing the other guys. Leaving the rest of the world as something to do if your friends aren't around. But, if you look at the whole picture, it soon comes into focus that every part, every nook, every bit of the game, including the PvP is a Roll Play Game and depends on the full experience to truly compete and win the prize of fun and adventure! So... stop and smell the Jute and taste the Mead too!

And with any luck, we will all meet in a tavern and raise our mugs together!

Stop and smell the jute - love it.  =)

I will attest to not rushing to 50.  ESO is definitely an exploration game.  Go find all those nooks and crannies.  You will be amazed what you find in some abandoned camp on the side of the mountain or in some other wayward place.  Only half or less of the cool stuff is on the beaten path.

Don't mess with Mama Bear, I might hug you too tight. =D

I completely agree.  SWG was my first MMO that grabbed me and made me feel like I was actually part of the world.  I enjoyed just exploring the planets and crafting.

For ESO I can't wait to group up with guildies and have no objective other than just explore the land.  I'm also looking forward to the crafting, after messing around with it in beta I am really excited to start gathering and and and and SUNDAY GET HERE NOWWW!!!!!!!!!

You're absolutely right, as for me rushing through content is always not wise, especially if we're talking bout Tamriel.

I like to explore every corner of the map, so sure I won't rush :)
