Looking for Leveling Buddies

First of all, I know that skipping some of the game content isn't the expected way to play it, also increase your chance to burn out and leave the game sooner. I'm aware that not everyone like to "speed level", but there are always exceptions.

Second, must have Imperial Edition to play 5 days early and have enough time to play during the first week (about 12 hours/day).

I'm looking for some of you that want to fastlevel to end-game content, with the benefits of:
- Having a nice group to play together
- Leveling easier since we will group where the content is designed to be solo
- Increase your crafting skills faster (When you Extract some item Armor, Weapon, etc from someone else, you get more Inspiration Points, crafting level)
- Get the end-game content faster and be more competitive in AvA as soon as possible

But nothing comes for free, so there are some not so nice things to keep in mind:
- It is expected to play for close to 12 hours per day (we will schedule some breaks)
- We will skip some of the content and quest dialog

The goals:
- Hit Level 50 and Veteran Rank 10 in the first week
- Hit max level in 2 professions

We will complete all dungeons available and participate in Soul Shards hunting events.
It would be nice to have at least one Keen Eye for each person in the group, since we will gather all the resources available.

I'll play as an Altmer Sorcerer and I'll go for Alchemy and Provisions professions. Ebonheart Pact.

Those of you who like the idea, fell free to suggest improvements and if you want to join me please leave your @InGame name and your Race, Class and Professions choices.

That would work out well with both couples wedded by the Mara rings for that xp boost!

Good luck!

Heh that would be intense and fun if I could manage it. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (minus the hour or two a night for our favorite shows) I plan on putting some serious time into playing but then it's back to the real world for me. :/

I would become totally insane if I played ANYTHING for 12 hours straight, 5 days in a row! Plus, I'd no longer have a husband, a home, children or grandchildren because they would all disown me because they'd wonder how my priorities became so messed up. So count me out but have fun. :)

It is not 12 hours straight! :)

That would be crazy! :P lol

I'll have 5 hours of breaks during the day. Less crazy now?

I can't play that way.  Never could actually...too busy stopping to craft, explore, smell the digital flowers, read every book or paper, talk to npc's or poke my nose into anything that seems interesting.  That curious nature gets me killed quite a bit though.   Also tends to drive party members nuts

Good Luck though

Just so you're aware: If you pre-PURCHASED the digital standard edition (as opposed to pre-ORDERED the phsyical standard edition) you also have 5 days access. So those that have prepurchased the standard edition will also be around - but obviously won't have a horse (if you're going to rely on that for speed as well).

Thank you Anaitis, you are right. Don't need the Imperial Edition, just pre-PURCHASED edition! ;)

Ormiga, it is all about consumables. A lot of people will go for hard crafting like Clothing, Leatherwork, Blacksmith... But you most likely won't craft much weapon and armor while leveling because you will get upgrades from drops and quests, besides you will probably have a lot of friends that could help you with those. On the other hand you will always find nice to have some life-saviour potions with you, and food buffs all the way.

Enchanting is a nice option too, but I found it too expensive to maintain.

And as I posted before, this is probably not the best way to play, I know! :) Most of people don't have that time, myself included, I got some days off work to do this! Yes, crazy, right? I know!

This is not the first time I do such a thing, I was one of the firsts level 90 Monk in World of Wracraft's last expansion and finished Diablo 3 in the first day. Among other crazy things... :P

But anyway, I'm looking forward to play with you guys in Tamriel whatever the play-style you have, and also have nice and fun times with this Family!

I once stayed up for four days straight with no sleep or real meals; missed being the first max level Slayer in Warhammer by literally hours (I was in Hawaii on the first day they came out QQ) Ah dedication...

Anyway, I would LOVE to do this, but unfortunately I only have Sunday available for it as I have to work the rest of the week and they would likely fall apart without me :D  How would you feel about having a couple/few extra just for Sunday?

The first day is the most important one, everyone in the Family is more than welcome to play together with me!

I got lucky because the launch time is 8am for me, so will be able to rest properly before it.

I don't think I will be even close to the first level 50, but I want to make it as soon as possible just for personal satisfaction.

Well it looks like I will be at the same extreme but different approach. I may take the launch week off and play a silly amount of time in the first week, but I am going to explore and do as much of everything as I go, If I am at 50 at the end of it then I will be disappointed that it is too easy to level :D

I know most of my characters time is going to be spent at max level so I see no reason to rush the journey. I want to see the roses :o oh wait ebonheart .. I want to see the forbidding snow covered peaks, yetis, and watch my stuff (darn beady red eyed backstabbing Dumner)

Start is 8:30pm for me so I should get 3-4 hours in before I force myself off to bed

I will be playing with a similar style to you. Since my gf is on vacation I have nothing but time. I will be playing a Imperial DK. I honestly didn't like the crafting system at all think I would prefer to bypass that if possible. I want to level up as fast as possible to experience what the endgame has to offer as I will be able to play slower when I level my next character with my gf

I will tell you that level 50/VR1 is possible in about a week playing 12hrs a day efficiently, but VR10 will take much longer.  The difficulty and leveling pace slows down dramatically in the VR's, but large groups help a lot with the difficulty piece.  I'd say 50 in one week and VR10 in 2-3 weeks is a more reasonable expectation.

Keep in mind though that this game is a LOT more about the journey than the destination.  So much richness has been put into the questing, environment and storyline that the leveling process is arguably the richest part of the game.  It's not like WoW where the real game starts at max level.  Even for AvA, your effectiveness increases only marginally from the low VR's to VR10 as most builds can have all the skill points they need in the early VR's and getting more just helps you expand into more alternatives and crafting.  Those that rush through to VR10 will find that all they have to do at end game are a few tough Veteran Dungeons, AvA, and the new Adventure Zone when it comes out.  It's likely to be a hollow experience.

That is exactly how I believe and I know that I could get to lvl 10 in 8 hours even with numerous breaks but I'm just not going to do it.  I want to read every book that I open - listen to every conversation that an NPC will have with me - even ones that aren't quest givers.  My understanding is that there are a few NPC's in every zone that will mark your map - which could lead to a new adventure.  I am the explorer type and this game is perfect for explorers - lore books hidden on carts and in in abandon camps - chests hidden behind hills and once I even found one on a ledge that you had to climb a hill and then jump down to, to access.   They have been very creative and I wish to absorb all this creativity - and feast on it.

But - with that stated - good luck in your adventures.
