Does anyone know why in the crafting tree for cloth clothes you can only make robes and not a smock? you can purchase a homespun smock set for a ton of gold but you can only craft robes. This seems like a small over sight to me, I like being able to wear light armor but why does it have to be a robe?
Yeah, I agree. You can find multiple cloth chest pieces that are not robes, but can't craft any. Perhaps you should bring that up if the devs have another 'ask us anything.'
hmm that is odd. However remember, you can upgrade any cloth drop you get if you have the crafting skill and the mats of course. Not sure if a higher crafting skill will make it easier, but I do know that their is a skill you can spend points in that requires a higher rank, and will enhance the % when improving a piece of gear. something to consider if you find a cloth chest piece as a drop that you like the look off.
So I got a response from ESO, with crafting on these last beta weekends there is alot we never got into. And there are alot of items that will be available later and costumes etc. So yes eventually you will have access to more.
